"I am exhausted, what a day, but it was fun." Jackie said as she collapsed into bed.
"Yeah, Sloan had so much fun, and he should have, he got spoiled rotten, I don't know where we are going to put everything." Nick told her.
"You are suppose to get spoiled on your first birthday." Jackie said with a smile.
"Yeah, you're right. I was just bummed out that the weather was so bad, but the kids didn't seem to mind." Nick replied.
"True." Jackie responded.
"How about you spoil me now?" Nick asked with a grin.
"Oh honey, not tonight, I am way too tired."
"Sloan is a year old now, you know what that means." He said as he moved his eyebrows up and down.
"I know, but I can't think about conceiving right now, next week is going to be so long with parent-teacher conferences and everything. Getting pregnant will have to wait for a bit."
"Alright." Nick said with a sigh as he kissed her cheek.
He knew Jackie was always super stressed during parent-teacher conference week, although he didn't understand why, Jackie's students loved her and so did the children's parents.
"I love you, goodnight." Jackie said as she leaned over and gave him a kiss goodnight.
"I love you too." He replied as he kissed her back.
Before long both of them were fast asleep.
