Theresa nervously waited for the nurse to come back with the DNA results. She wanted to make sure that the child she was carrying was hers and Ethan's so that she could change the results.
If any of the Crane's demanded a quick DNA test on the baby when it was born, all her hopes to getting Ethan Martin back would be crushed.
It was one of her most wicked schemes yet- to rob an innocent baby of its true parents, but nothing was going to stop her from getting her son back.
"Here you are." the nurse replied as she returned with a folder.
"Thank you." Theresa said as she took the results. "Can you make sure that these results are kept confidential?"
The nurse nodded and left the room.
Theresa sighed as she looked down at the folder that held the fate of her child and Ethan Martin. She slowly opened it, and when she read the results she had the biggest shock of her life.
"Whitney, thank goodness you're here." Theresa said as she walked into Whitney's house.
"What's wrong? You look pale." she asked concerned.
"I did a DNA test on the baby today." Theresa answered.
"So it's definitely yours and Ethan's." Whitney replied.
Theresa bit the bottom of her lip as she stared off into space. How could this have happened? All the hard work she had put forth for it all to be messed up like this.
"I am right... right." Whitney repeated.
"Um, there's a slight problem." Theresa finally said.
"What is this slight problem?"
"The baby isn't Gwen's."
"I kind of figured that." Whitney said sarcastically.
"And it isn't Ethan's either."
"What?" Whitney asked surprised. "Then who's is it?"
Theresa closed her eyes, dreading to let the name come out of her mouth.
"Theresa, you have to tell me."
Theresa sighed and turned to face her friend. "The baby... the baby is Fox's."
