Conan smiled to himself trying to reassure himself…
He noticed Rachel going to her room, seeming pained….
One thing he could never stand was to see her cry he tried to listen in discreetly…
If their was one thing in all the world he could never stand it was to let her cry…
Why was Rachel in such pain…
He sighed hitting his head.
Because of me of course he thought more in acknowledgment then sadness…
At first he'd been almost happy she felt so much pain at his absence
As some, however little, of his affection shifted to Amy and it took longer to find a cure… he started to wonder if he was just being selfish egging her on with these occasional calls, keeping alive the hope that they could be reunited… it was better to resolve that hope painless as possible …
He tried to brush the thought aside for a moment thinking again with Jimmy Kudo's voice…
I don't want this if I tell her to forget about me, she'll find another guy in no time I think, possibly an unscrupulous one… I could find a cure any day… I know… its just a matter of time before Dr. Agasa finds one…
For the first time another part of him thought with Conan Edogawa's voice…
How can you do this… how can you keep her in love with a person who no longer exists, and who its starting to look like may never exist again… if you shatter that hope it will hurt more for a while… but… eventually… she'll recover, and find true love.. Even if its not you.
Conan developed an agitated look on his face… even a bit pained… he knew what he had to do…
