Just in case you are confused, this takes place not too long after Kasha was killed by the collapsing flume at the end of Book 5.

His heart beat faster and faster. His breath warmed my icy cold fur. "Kasha." He whispered in my ear. "Don't leave me again. Please."

"Boon, I never left you." I lifted my black paw and ran it through his ruffled brown fur. I stared into his tear filled eyes and whispered, "Never forget, I will always be with you."

The warm, sticky blood that was rolling down my face from my head wound, started to stain the bark of the tree that he leaned against. I started to fade from his sight. He grabbed my arm and cried out, "I can't live without you! You are everything to me! Please don't leave!"

I pressed my paw to his tear sodden face, leaned down, and kissed him. When I released him, a sad smile grew upon him. "I... I guess you're right. You are with me... Kasha, I love you with all my heart."

I smiled softly and fully faded away, but my voice was still as loud as if I was still beside him, under the shade of the great tree in the center of Leeandra. "I love you too, my Romeo." He closed his eyes and clasped his claws over his heart. "I'll never forget, you are right here with me...my Juliet."

Wow. Was that sad or what? Every time I read it, even though I wrote it, I cry. And I'm reading Shakespeare in class so I just had to put in the 'Romeo and Juliet' thing. Please review!
