Lessons

By Angel Kamiya

When he was still a boy, Boba Fett learned an important lesson from his father. They had moved to Tatooine to get away from the cloners for a while and make some more money. His father Jango Fett had taken some odd jobs for Jabba the Hutt while Boba was mostly left at home. Boba was small for his age, but he was very resourceful and a fast learner.

One day, he had gone to the market to buy some food. His father hadn't been home for days, so he was usually left some credits to buy things like food and clothing while he was on his own. After buying his food, he had left the market and quickly surrounded by three other older boys. Boba asked them want they wanted, they told him they wanted all of his credits and the food that he bought. Boba refused and tried to talk them out of robbing him. They didn't listen. They quickly beat Boba up and took everything he had.

That night he went home with a black eye. He had no money and no friends there. There wasn't much food left, so he had to save it until his father arrived back.

When Jango came back two days later, he quickly asked what had happened.

Boba told his father the whole story. When he was done, Jango did something he didn't expect. Jango had told Boba how disappointed he was with him. Jango had explained that he was suppose to be the son of a bounty hunter, which meant he was a fighter. He shouldn't have tried to talking to them after they had threaten him. Boba had been ashamed.

The next morning, he went to confront the three boys. It took him a few minutes to find them. They were waiting there in an alley, probably planning to jump another person. Boba went to face them, demanding his credits back. They laughed, so Boba attacked.

He punched the leader in the face and rushed at him, spearing his body. He kicked the boy in the stomach over and over, while his friends rushed to grab him. A boy hit him hard in the face, stunning him for a moment Boba quickly recovered and remembered a move his father had taught him and quickly broke the second's boy's nose. Boba picked up a stick that had been on the ground and hit the last bully in the stomach, knocking him down.

When he was done, Boba went back and reached into the leader's pocket. He took back all his credits.

He kicked the leader one more time in the stomach.

When he got home, he told Jango everything had happened. Jango was very proud of his son that day.

"Good job, son." Jango smiled, patting Boba on the shoulder. "You did well."
