You may ask..."Who needs a guide to the Neopian Times?".Point.But,still,you do want to figure out some things about the Times and I'm here to show you this.
1. Writers...
Ah,yes,writers!I'm going to make a list,a very short list,so excuse me if I didn't include you.
Al_the_chia
I think he has the most stories in the Times.He writes about Al T. Chia,our friendly Lupologist!Very good stories.But that's just my opinion.
Mousequeen
The author of the most comics in the Times,she keeps a on-going series of laughs."The Moo Strip" is mainly about her Kau,Mooinamillion.Keep 'em coming!
Muas
Helpful articles,great to read,love 'em all.Let's hope we'll hear more from this author.
Yaboofernoodle
Altough not as well known,Yaboofenoodle writes about the infamous band,The Noodles.Altough inspired by other stories,she is the only one that makes a saga out of the band concept.

Technically this writer doesn't write about a certain subject too long.The stories are always fresh,the style interesting.

Writes about her Lupe,Griffin L Kingsley,altough often you can catch some articles of hers and even stories about her other pets.

Writes about MonoKeras mostly,but you can also find stories about his other two pets.Very nice mysteries,and original.
Sorry I can't continue the list,I've found several writers that are really good,but then this list'll never end.Still,congrats to all those who managed to get their stories in the Neopian Times.
2. Readers
OK,you think it's weird to write about the readers,but I'm getting to that.
Readers are all different,they read and favor different things.That is why 1:you must try writing something fresh each time and 2:not offend anyone.
First,here is a list of things too cliched to be interesting:
1.How a pet is not painted,is unpopular at school,then gets painted and is suddenly very popular.
2.Sob adoption stories.For Fyora's sake,the Times is spammed with these!
3.The famous detective bit.If it's taken,don't spam!
4.Articles on making NP.I'll write about how to not need these in a later story.
The list would be never-ending,so I'm stopping while I still can.
Now things that are in:
1.Anything that isn't taken.
2.About Faeries.
3.Articles about games.
4.Interviews.
5.Stories/articles about PetPets.
Again,I'm stopping while I still can.
Now I'm moving to the next part:NOT offending people.
First,don't annoy the Neopets team with MAJOR grammar mistakes.They're voidin' busy already!
1.Now,the most common way to offend someone is by misspelling the name of their favorite species.This annoys me to the void!
Don't write "Shyoru" instead of "Shoyru" because you'd annoy most of the readers.
2.Don't make ugly comments about certain colours that Neopets have.It offends even more people.
3.DON'T,I repeat,DON'T make fun of weird people or Neopets.
For example,I have antennaes with blue beads at the end and bat wings.If you'd say one bad thing about my antennaes I'd criple you.
4.When writing an article,don't say that another person wrote an article about the same story lamer than you.Because it might be the other way around.
5.Now that we have most of these covered,remember not to write articles that say the same thing over and over again.It's the most boring thing EVER!
