Every experienced photographer knows that the easiest way to bring the "one-third, two-thirds" rule into play is to drop down to one knee to capture the image. Jason Rockbell, a doctor in profession and a photographer in his spare time, took advantage of this whenever his mother, Pinako, allowed him a day off with his girlfriend, Sarah, but never more so than August sixth.

A day trip to the nearest beach was coming to a close, the sun descending to some unknown destination beneath the ocean's depths. As usual, the young hobbyist couple seized their respective opportunities, Sarah standing to focus on the sky, Jason kneeling on one knee to emphasize the sea. Once they took their pictures, Jason fished through his pockets for the catch of the day, remaining in the sand. Finally, heart pounding and palms sweating, he presented Sarah with an elegant cherry wood box and opened it slowly.

"Will you marry me?"

On that beach six months later, they were married, and their four-year-old daughter, Winry, constructed her first sandcastle with her parents on their sixth anniversary on the spot of their proposal. Sarah plopped her straw hat on Winry's head as Pinako took the precious picture.
