How had it come to this?

It had started out so beautiful, so wonderful, so glorious … so right.

The brightest light, the bluest seas, the cleanest air – everything had been so perfect for them, for all of them – for His greatest creations.

So how had it come to this?

What had He missed?

How could He have misjudged them so severely – or did He?

Is it His fault that they have brought so much ruin upon themselves, time after time, regardless of how many times He has tried to show them the ways to help themselves? Is it His fault that they have chosen to disregard Him over and over, rather than to listen – and in so doing, save themselves – and their home, His creation?

Are all of their faults really to be placed on Him, for it is because of Him that they are even a part of this world – this world that was once so perfect and has now, seemingly, gone so wrong?

Is it possible—

No, He cannot go there. He cannot have been that wrong, that mistaken. He cannot have been wrong at all.

It is not possible that His Morningstar was right all along.
