A/N: I know I have two other stories I need to finish, but I had to write this.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything, not even my copy of Twilight, because I lost that.
Sulpicia Volturi sat, slouching in the arm chair she occupied, recalling the events of the past week. There was one thing in particular that stood out to her, and that was the half-vampire child. Not the trouble she'd caused, or the embarrassment that Aro obviously felt because of the encounter with the Cullens and their witnesses, but the girl herself, as well as her parents. The way that the child had clung to her mother had reminded of Sulpicia of herself as a young child, barely moving from her mothers' side.
This reminded her of something else, something she hadn't realized until she saw it, until she saw just what she was missing. She loved this life, her life, the path of immortality, being able to be with who you loved for eternity. But there was something missing, she thought. When they where young and human, her and her cousin Athenodora had always thought of the families they would have.
The families with a husband, and little children to hold, raise, and care for. Sulpicia had wanted that so bad, even when she had been changed, she still longed for it. Then she had met him. Aro had been all she had needed after that, and she gave her family that would never be no more thought. But now she couldn't stop thinking of them. She imagined how wonderful it would be to be human, if only for that one reason. Twirling a strand of her dark hair and closing her eyes, she let her imagination take over her. The vampire could see her children, who would never, be perfectly, but from a distance.
They looked mostly like Aro to her, with only a bit of her visible in them. The two girls she could 'see' had her blue eyes from before Sulpicia had been changed. The boy, however, was looking down at the ground. She walked forward towards him. His head shot up, and she couldn't help but gasp as she looked into his crimson eyes. Her son stepped slowly towards her, an evil look in his eyes. She opened her mouth to speak to him, to ask him what he was doing, and to tell him to stop, but he had the strength of a newborn vampire, and jumped on her, making her fall to the ground. "Sorry mum." He murmured, getting ready to bite her neck, to tear it off and toss it in a fire that she seemed to know he would make.
But why would he do that? She seemed to know the answer as soon as she had asked the question. She held power; no where near as much as Aro, Marcus or Caius, but power all the same. If Marcus had fallen apart when Didyme had died, then Aro might fall apart if Sulpicia died, too. Then they, the Volturi, would be easier to overpower.
She screamed and sat up with a start. It had only been a day-dream; she had let her imagination get the better of her again. Aro burst through the door.
"What's wrong?" He asked, worried.
"Nothing," She replied. "Just thinking," He nodded and walked out of the room, leaving the door open behind him. She got up to follow him. Wishful thinking really gets you no where. She thought, as she closed the door, and caught up to her husband. She was perfectly content with him, and she didn't need anyone else. But the image of the two girls was stuck in her mind. Sulpicia pushed it out of her mind as Aro asked her a question.
There was no point in wishing, she had all she needed right where she was.
A/N: Did you like? Hate it? Love it? Let me know, if you don't mind.
I'm also thinking of starting a bit of a series of stories about Sulpicia; most of them won't have much to do with each other, though. Let me know what you think of that, too.
