The Way You Look At Me
I got this idea from 'Love Hurts' Basically, I'm so creepy and obsessed with Kico and Pripper that I have a lot of episodes on DVR. Anyway, I was looking SUPER CLOSE at the screen. Right after Rico talked in Italian, but before Skipper asked for 'tuna extraction options', I was like, HOLD ON. I rewound and played in slow-motion. I paused. There was Kowalski looking at Rico with the dreamiest look I've ever seen! I wondered, 'What would happen if Rico had noticed?' And this was born!
I don't own PoM. Despite the many Kico/Pripper hints!
Kowalski flinched as Private got a shot, as did Rico. Kowalski barely heard what Skipper said, as Rico was now closer than before.
He wouldn't dare admit it, but he knew he was slowly being infatuated with Rico. His Doris cover story had almost been blown earlier, but he managed to save it. But deep down, he hurt knowing that he may never have Rico because of it. Then again, he really didn't think he'd get Rico anyway.
He was shaken from his thoughts as Rico placed a flipper on his shoulder.
"We talk. Later. Alone" he grunted. Kowalski's heart nearly melted at his voice, but he froze. Alone? He wouldn't be able to control himself! Sure, he'd done it before, but lately he had been slowly losing his self-control. Why, just earlier he had been caught, (or almost caught) staring at Rico! He had just managed to lose himself in thought, wondering what the maniac's feathers would feel like pressed against his. What it would be like to kiss him, to hold him, to call him a mate.
He shook his head, thinking he could handle it for a few moments to chat with him. After all, it wasn't as if Rico had caught him staring, right?
...
Later, at about 8:00, Rico and Kowalski went into the lab.
"So, Rico. What did you need to talk about?" the scientist asked, trying not to get lost in thought about Rico again.
The maniac picked up a pen and paper, and started to write a message.
'I saw you' he wrote. Kowalski flinched, not wanting to believe he was referring to what he thought.
"Wh-what are you talking about?" he stuttered. Rico gave him a look, before starting to write again.
'You were staring at me earlier, why?' he scribbled. Kowalski looked down. What could he say? The truth wouldn't be the best option, obviously. So he decided to lie.
"I wasn't staring at YOU. I was staring at something behind you" he said, trying to sound convincing.
Rico didn't buy it, judging by the way he crossed his flippers.
Kowalski hated to have Rico angry at him, so he broke down at that.
"Okay! I was staring at you! I love you! I always thought you were handsome, funny, and everything I've ever looked for in a mate! And yes, thatmeans I've always been gay. ALWAYS. And I knew that my true happiness lied with you, but I always knew you were straight, so I never did anything about it! But lately I've been losing my self-control! You make me this way, Rico! You motivate me to invent things, to push the boundaries of time and space, in fact I don't even think I could ever go on a single mission if it weren't for seeing you every day!" he cried. Finally out of breath, he collapsed against the wall.
"I'm sorry" he murmured.
"Don't" came a gruff voice. When Kowalski looked up, he saw Rico standing over him, a large grin on his face.
His breath caught in his throat as the maniac knelt down and kissed him tenderly.
"Love you Walski" he said softly.
Okay, I'm not sure if this is my best or not. Though I am confident with Kowalski's 'love speech' Review, please! And yes, this is a oneshot, however I do intend to do a Pripper. (Not from the same episode, of course) So please don't ask for more chapters... No offense.
