I know...before you yell at me, I know this story is SUPER short...i wrote it in my notebook and fell in love with the idea so much that I didn't want to chage it so...yup. This is what I came up with. =] FYI: Chapter 6 almost done! =]

KC lay on the soft grass under the night sky. At that time of the night, the playground she had decided to hang around in turned into a peaceful sanctuary. She gazed at the tiny diamonds in the sky, connecting them into unique constellations in her mind. Even though she was relaxed where she was, the quiet of the night made her feel somewhat lonely. Her thoughts dribbled across her head, letting her imagination run wild. The gentle breezes of autumn caused the trees to gently sway and locks of her hair fall evenly upon her face. She brought her thoughts back to reality. Above her, the sky looked the same, but a warm presence was lingering in the air. She angled her head seeing a dark figure sprawled out in the grass next to her. With a longer glance she realized, what, or rather who was next to her.

"Riley?" she whispered, pushing herself up slightly to get a better view of his face. Riley sat up and pushed her down gently. He looked down at her with a soft smile. He spaced his arms on either side of her, hanging over her in a way that looked like he was about to do a push-up. He inhaled one last breath of the cool air surrounding them, and then planted his lips on KC's. Riley's fingertips brushed KC's hair out of her face as she kissed him back. The coldness of the autumn night was forgotten; for sparks were flying rapidly between the two. After a few moments, they pulled back from each other for air. Riley continued to hover over KC.

"Riley?" KC whispered breathlessly.

Riley began to smile. "Yes?"

"Thanks for that." KC replied, a soft smile parting her lips.

"Riley nodded slightly and fell back to her side. KC began to daydream gracefully, her thoughts serene and peaceful. Maybe the darkness wasn't as bad as she thought. It had a sense of magic in the air.
