A/N: This is my first Ouran High School Host Club fanfiction, so I want an honest opinion on it. Practically Venomous beta'ed it, but all mistakes are mine. And here it is:

"Mori," Kyoya said quietly after redoing the math five times, then sighing to himself. Mori hid his surprise with ease, but immediately looked at him. Despite what others might think, he wasn't surprised at Kyoya speaking to him. In the past week there had been a considerable uptake in Honey's sweets. Plus, he had even brought himself to look at the bill, which was three times the price of the average week.
No, he was surprised at the shakiness in Kyoya's voice. You had to have been looking for it, and even then it was barely noticeable. Mori was looking for a sign that told him something wasn't right,
because, well, something obviously wasn't alright. So when Kyoya spoke, he heard it immediately.
And if you asked Mori, it was more than just one thing. Kyoya had been distracted for the past couple of days, and had made numerous mistakes in figuring out their funds. Plus he was always on edge.
And the twins' and Tamaki's shenanigans weren't helping.
Kyoya nodded without looking up, and continued to type. Mori, however, didn't look away. He kept searching for some clues so he could figure what exactly was wrong. It couldn't just be the bill. Mori knew how Kyoya was when he was irritated. This was different. But he knew two things: one, that Kyoya wouldn't drop a clue here, not when he was watching so closely. He would wait until no one was paying attention and then drop a tiny hint. It was as if he couldn't figure out what he wanted. Like Kyoya knew he needed help, but wanted so much to believe he was okay.
And two, he and Kyoya weren't friends. He was the last person Kyoya would go to. That didn't hurt him. He had always acknowledged that they had little in common. But what if he was the only one who was seeing this? What if he was the only one that could help?
"Is something wrong?" Kyoya said when he saw Mori staring at him from the corner of his eye.
"Is there?" Mori countered. Kyoya swallowed tightly. Somehow, this moment wasn't like he thought it would be. All those weeks of taking it in, then the last four days...he was supposed to be relieved! He was supposed to open up, but he found himself withdrawing even further inside himself, while at the same time showing far too much.
"Kyoya, I just had the most brilliant," Kyoya stood abruptly and turned away from Mori when he heard Tamaki's excited voice, "idea ever!"
"Yes," Kyoya whispered to himself, "something is wrong."
Over Tamaki's loud rambling, Mori heard him, and he was shocked. Kyoya had just...opened up to him. The question was, would he open up again?
