Pretty much the result of boredom while enjoying a cup of coffee.
"Why are there so many hipsters in this world?" Cristina muttered as she followed Meredith through the crowded Open Eye Cafe
"What?" Meredith glanced back as she struggled to hear over the loud music being pumped through the speakers
"Hipsters. Everywhere." Cristina replied with disgust as she watched a man pull a telephone shaped headset out of a messenger bag. She rolled her eyes when he plugged the jack into his iPhone an began to dial
"Why do you care how people wanna dress?" Meredith asked before placing her order with the surly looking barista. So cliche, she thought
"Because its annoying" Cristina deadpanned "I mean, look at that!" She gestured openly at the man from before "hipsters are so pretentious. 'I only wear clothes from 1924' 'Oh I don't listen to music that's being played on the radio. It's too mainstream!'" She mocked and cupped her hands around her mouth "Well, guess what? Being a hipster is now mainstream! You can all go back to wearing blue jeans!"
Meredith blushed profusely as the entire coffee shop stopped and stared. "Thanks" she quickly took the coffees and gave the barista a smile "Looks like we'll be drinking outside" She gave Cristina her coffee and pushed her shoulder to make her move
"I hate independent coffee shops like this. Can't we start going to Starbucks?" Christina asked a she plopped down in a chair, resting her coffee on the table
Meredith smiled ruefully, "It's too mainstream"
"Funny. I thought I'd die from laughter."
