The Mark of Athena

What do I think will happen in Mark of Athena? Read to find out! Percabeth reunion, Jason-Reyna drama, and my spin on the prophesy's quest.

My take on Rick Riordan's upcoming book The Mark of Athena. I do not own PJO or HoO. I have taken some other points of view and put a twist in them, so I'd like to thank everyone who made a Percy Jackson and the Olympians fanfic. Also, it's my summer holidays now so I should be able to update reasonably often, but if this is a long fic it may interfere with school. Anyway, enjoy!

Chapter I: Annabeth

Annabeth

They had been on the ship for three days already. Annabeth hadn't slept in four, hadn't eaten in three and hadn't drunk at all today. For their entire journey she had been pacing the ship and for the most part thinking. When she wasn't thinking she was reprimanding herself for thinking things to drive her crazy. Things that had been on her mind more frequently now that they were nearing Camp Jupiter

"What if he's really happy there? What if he doesn't recognize anyone? What if he doesn't remember me? What if he's moved on? What if – oh gods. What if he has a new girlfriend? What would – ow!" Annabeth interrupted her pacing routine to walk right into the mast of the Argo II. Piper and Thalia helped her up. "We need to talk," Thalia whispered to Annabeth, and she and Piper led Annabeth to their cabin.

"What is it?" asked Annabeth, completely oblivious to how she was acting. "You've gone crazy," Thalia and Piper said at once. "We know this is about Percy, and while we can't change things on his end, we can help you," Piper told her. "Now just tell us what's going on in your crazy blonde head," Thalia teased, earning a halfhearted glare from Annabeth. "What if he has a new g-girlfriend?" Annabeth asked, her voice catching a little. "He won't!" Piper and Thalia exclaimed. Piper continued, "Percy's memory will be back by now, and he should remember everything about you. I wouldn't be surprised if he never forgot." "Jason could've had a girlfriend," Annabeth pointed out, "But now he's with you." Piper looked uneasy. "He's been talking in his sleep," she admitted reluctantly, "Always the same word. 'Reyna'. I'm not sure who –"

The next words of Piper's sentence were drowned out by a loud groan from the Argo II. Leo's voice came over the loudspeaker, "Attention sailors of the Argo II. We will be landing in approximately 30 seconds, all passengers are advised to run, do not walk, below deck and hold on to something for dear life. Leo Valdez, out!"

Jason, Thalia, Piper, and Annabeth ran below deck and held on to each other (AN: I know, not exactly what Leo meant). An instant later, they softly bumped down, their landing only soft because of the two children of Zeus using their powers. The four climbed up on deck and bright light hit them as the scene of New Rome unfolded before them
