She didn't look like the quiet bookworm freak he and his friends often ridiculed as the blinding stage lights outlined her figure. And Olivia White was, by no means, the type of girl Ray Beech – the high school's resident bad boy - was normally attracted to.

He should've felt angry, really.

Her band, Lemonade Mouth, had somehow convinced Principal Brenigan to let them perform for the Halloween Bash. He (and his band) should've been the ones receiving the hoots, hollers, and praises the student body currently threw the Lemonade Mouth freaks.

But there was no denying that she looked beautiful.

Her halo of blonde curls swung in rhythm with each beat of the drum as she sung their first song with a voice so beautiful he could've fallen in love. Key word: could've. The lilac flower dress she wore complimented by a faded jean jacket hugged her every curve and showed off legs that went on formiles.

Scott, his best friend, let out a low whistle as he stared transfixed at his ex-girlfriend, Mo.

"They're good," he said, off-handily, all the while gazing at the band with an impressed look on his face.

"No, man, no they're not," he bit back in a harsh retort, closing his fists tightly.

"No, you're right. They're amazing."

Ray glared daggers at his best friend and breathed lowly.

Scott was right of course. They were amazing. The screaming crowd was a sign of that.

The song soon ended with a frenzy of praises from the student body muffled slightly by the booming applause that bounced in echoes across the dimly lit gym.

His gaze was immediately drawn to her.

Her hair now flowed down her back in a mess of riotous curls and her dress was filled with rumples from all the dancing she had done. Her cheeks were splashed with a soft pink tan and a series of excited pants escaped her body. Olivia flashed the crowd a bright smile, showing off two deep dimples.

He couldn't help the rushed breath he let out or the rapid beating of his heart as he caught a glimpse of her.

"Beautiful."

Enjoy! Just a little something I threw together. Thank you for reading. Feedback would be greatly appreciated!
