Plot: Just Percy's thoughts (more elaborated than what Rick had written in The Battle of the Labyrinth) on Annabeth kissing him.
"You have to get out of here! Put your cap back on. Use the spider, maybe it can lead you back to Hephaestus." I HAD to convince her to go. I couldn't risk losing her at any cost.
"What?!" she shrieked. "I am not going anywhere without you!"
Gods, this girl is so stupid! Can't she see that it is too dangerous for any of us to be here?
"You have to go now before the Telekhines come in!" I tried to persuade her.
"But you'll be killed!" No kidding, Sherlock. Isn't that why I am asking you to flee?!
"I've got a plan. I'll distract them," but I sounded as if I was trying to comfort myself more than her. So, I just said the plain truth. "Besides, we've got no choice."
Annabeth was crying. Whoa. I never thought I would live to see this day. Then, she glared at me so hard I was afraid the wall behind me might fall down. I braced myself for her punch. For her fist to connect with my stomach. But instead, her lips connected with mine.
She pressed them hard. But the kiss was incredibly soft. I think I would fall down at that moment itself. All I could think of was her lips on mine, and her cold hands on my neck.
But there was also this weird thought, SHE IS KISSING ME!
She pulled apart while I stood there, eyes as wide as a UFO.
"Be careful, Seaweed Brain."
And she was gone.
