Hannah Baker- So Alone
Part One
Hannah sat in her room tears swelling in her eyes, stomach churning as her head plays through the conversation she had with the school councillor. Hannah looked down at the tapes beside her she was ready, beyond ready! It had confirmed for her that no one could save her...no one could make the pain stop. Tonight was the night Hannah Baker was going to kill herself ...
Mrs Baker was tired as she made her way out the car sighing with relief to be home so she could unwind and relax for the evening, her mind on a glass of wine and a hot soak in the bath. Mrs Baker opened the door and entered the sitting room dropping her stuff by the sofa before heading upstairs to say hello to her daughter Hannah,
"Shit" she cursed loudly as water flowed along the floor coming from the bathroom! Hannah Baker! Mrs Baker thought angrily as she marched towards the bathroom but as soon as she pushes the door open she pauses in horror , before shakingly rushing over to a unconscious Hannah whose lying in the overflowing bathtub...
"Ambulance please hurry! " Mrs Baker screams down her phone before dropping it to the floor and holding her daughter in her arms , rocking her as if she was a baby ... Mrs Baker looked down at Hannah and her heart broke in that instant...
"please baby... please don't leave us! "
The relatives room was hauntingly quiet as mr and Mrs Baker waited together wondering wether tonight they had lost their daughter,
"Why did we not see this? " Mrs Baker says guilt chewing at her as her husband shakes his head squeezing her hand as tears fall silently down his face,
"Excuse me Mr and Mrs Baker?" A young looking doctor asks making both nod,
"Is she gone?" Mrs Baker asks quietly her face pale, making the doctor take her hand reassuringly,
"Hannah is alive Mrs Baker. But she's very sick . She's in a coma as she lost quite a bit of blood. If you'd like to stay with her your more than welcome to " Mrs Baker stands up eager to see her Hannah as Mr Baker slowly stands wiping his eyes with his sleeve. Both the doctor and Mrs Baker look at him questioningly,
"I will be back ... I will go get some things together... you go be with our angel" Mrs Baker nods her head to emotional to talk before embracing her husband both feeling relief that they hadn't lost her.
Mrs Baker sat silently watching Hannah and watching her daughter breathing,
"Why? Why did this happen? Was I to hard to talk too?" Mrs Baker sobs squeezing her hand not knowing what was going on? Or why it was happening?
"Mrs Baker?" She looks up to see a tanned boy wearing a leather jacket,
"Can I help you?"
"sorry to just barge in here... see I know Hannah we go to school together "
"What? Your her friend? Sorry what's your name?"
"Tony" Mrs Baker gestured for him to sit whilst she watches her daughter carefully praying she'd open her eyes. Tony leans closer and begins to pray making Mrs Baker cry overwhelmed by the gesture,
Tony? I have never heard her mention you. Are you close?" Tony shakes his head sighing,
"No. Not really I know here through my good friend Clay. Between us they liked each other... just both couldn't admit it to each other... see uh Clay he's really awkward with stuff like this..."
"Did he hurt her? Your friend?" Tony frowns and shakes his head his firmness making it clear to Mrs Baker he wasn't lying to her,
"Mrs Baker Clay is one of the good guys... he's sweet guy the kind any Mother would hope for their daughter..."
"So why Tony? Why? I need answers!" Tony sighs and reaches out to Mrs Baker and takes her hand,
"And I vow to help you get them. But Mrs Baker for now we watch over Hannah and pray for her to come back to us all"
