if i ever had the chance , i wouldn't even change one bit of that night.

I remember it as if it was yesterday.

inspired by okay - backhouse mike.

I waited outside the door, my hands shaking, my heart racing. He'll come. He promised to always stay by my side.

He loves me.

Just one click of the doorknob. A minute passed, where are you Beck? Another minute passed. I felt my hand move away from the doorknob. Another minute passed, I heard giggles and laughter coming from inside. My eyes stung with tears as one soonly fell down my cheek. He really is happy without me, all of those moments..and memories mean nothing to him.

I heard footsteps. I knew you loved me, Beck! I smiled to myself and wiped the tears off quickly. When the door opened, I saw you instead of Beck. You smiled and closed the door behind you. I saw Beck before the door closed, he was smiling at Tori holding her hand. I felt more tears fall down my face. I dropped to the floor.

"WHY! I though he loved me!" I screamed and shouted. You still stood there with that foolish grin of yours. You sat next to me on the floor and wrapped your arms around me. You started to hum a certain tune. For some reason, that relaxed me. All of a sudden, all the screaming and crying didn't seem worth it anymore. I pulled away from your embrace and stared at you.

"Andre, why did you come? I've been so rude and mean to you, why would you of all people come to me?" I croaked. I didn't want to admit that but it was true. "I deserve to be left alone, I don't deserve comfort or anyone to be nice to me because I don't know how to return the favor thats why Beck left me!" I felt more tears fall down my cheek. You didn't say one word. You wiped the tears off my cheek and held my hand.

I felt heat creep onto my face.

"Is that a blush I see, Ms. West?" You chuckled quietly. My face felt even hotter. "Well you know, it is winter, cold weather can cause your skin to burn up.." I said gaining my confidence back.

We sat quiet for a few moments.

"Jade." You said softly.

"Hmm?" I said looking down at our hands. They fitted perfectly together.

"I've been meaning to get something off my chest for a while now." You said looking down at our hands also.

"Well say it." I mumbled

You didn't say anything. You lifted my chin to face you, then you kissed me softly. Your lips tasted sweet against mine. I wanted more. I leaned in for another kiss wrapping my arms around your neck. I felt you smile during the kiss. I pulled away laughing to myself.

"Whats so funny?" You said getting flustered.

"I'm not sure actually. I'm just really happy." I squeezed your hand.

I looked up to see you smiling. You then kissed my cheek and leaned in for another kiss.

Sweetheart, do you remember this story?

Its the story that I promised I would always remember for the rest of my life.

The story I will say during our wedding vows.

The story I will print onto my grave.

Well, I wouldn't go that far.

But you know what I mean.
