Chapter 1-Saying Good-bye

The normal bustle was going on at the Potter house, nothing strange, Harry was getting ready to go on a trip to Egypt to see some old school mates, Ron and Hermione, recently wed. While Ginny was getting breakfast ready and calling their daughter. Amy finally got up and went to get washed up.

"Amy, dear, hurry. Your ride will be here shortly!" called Ginny Ginny heard a soft moan coming from her daughters bathroom indicating she knew, at this she smiled, to think in a matter of weeks her daughter would be going to Hogwarts. "The memories" sighed Ginny and went back to the kitchen . Soon after Harry was calling up the stairs and within a matter of seconds Amy came bolting down the stairs and threw her arms around her dad. "Daddy! Please take me with you! I want to see Uncle Ron and Auntie too!!" Amy cried and gave her dad the puppy face. Harry chuckled and sighed. "Sorry, kid. You still have school." Stated Harry. At this Amy released her father and moped off to the kitchen and sulked while eating her breakfast. Harry was in the kitchen soon after hugging his wife and saying goodbye then disappeared with a pop.

Just as Amy was finishing her breakfast the Scott family pulled up and Chris was at their door in a matter of seconds. Amy jumped at this and ran to get her bag and was out the door holding hands with Chris, giggling.

When Amy was brought home later that day Chris escorted her to the door not expecting what was going to happen next. "Chris, We need to talk." Amy looked at Chris trying to keep the tears from falling out of her eyes. Chris responded with a nod and walked her over to the porch swing. Amy sighed and looked him in the eyes. "I.I..well.." Amy stammered trying to think of what to say. Within seconds she was talking very fast about some school and she wouldn't be back for months at a time and she didn't think it would work between them. Chris took this all in quietly and then sighed. "I thought we had something here..I thought you loved me and now you go and pull a stunt like this! Amy how could you!?" Chris spat at her. Amy just looked down and started to cry. "Amy..why? I thought you liked this school. You promised." Chris sighed again and went deadly silent. "Chris. I know. I didn't know when I promised, but I'm already enrolled. You have to understand! I do love you! But it cant work with me not being home!" Amy stated between cries. "Well, I'll go with you." Chris said firmly but at this Amy shook her head and said "No. You cant. You have to trust me." By this time Ginny had heard the crying and yelling and knew what was happening, but just stood at the door listening. Amy soon walked in with a somber look on her face and ran to her mom and buried her face in her moms arms.
