Dan and Phil have just broken up but are still living together.
song: Winter by Joshua Radin
btw, Dan is filming Welcome to Hell
I should know, who I am by now.
Dan felt his feet crunch in the snow. He sighed in the crisp winter air and tried not to cry again. The camera tripod stood alone, so he grabbed everything back up and headed back to the flat, and he grew tense at the fact that he might run into Phil on the way up. Looking into the now sad looking windows of the flat, he could tell Phil had gone out, so he headed back up.
Your name is the splinter inside me.
Dan felt his chest hurt once more, the tears burned the corners of his eyes, the snowy day represented his heart. Confused, cold and abandoned. He set up his camera once more and started filming. He put on his best smile and read the script. But he would need to look like a teacher for the next scene, so he flipped through his closet.
I remember the truth.
He decided his only option was to go into Phil's room. He opened Phil's wardrobe, to see nothing but blue and black shirts. He looked in the back, to find Phil's only nice shirt that was clean. It was a green and plaid shirt that Phil basically never wore, so Dan didn't think he'd notice. Buttoning it up, Dan couldn't help but smell raspberry and Axe, and so many memories hit him.
But I don't have to make this mistake.
Dan didn't know how long he sat in the dark crying. He cried and cried and his eyes started to hurt, but he heard the door open. He wiped his face but it was too late. Phil stood there, looking down at him. His blue eyes scanned him, trying to figure him out some way. After cleaning him up a bit, and some ice cream, Phil finally was ready to talk.
"Maybe we can make it work, I love you Dan, but we just need to figure things out." Phil tried to smile. Dan nodded in agreement.
And I don't have to stay this way. If only I would wait.
