One night, Dora went to a Chinese restaurant because she was hungry. She ordered fried rice and rib tips. They gave her a fortune cookie with her meal. Dora opened the fortune cookie. It said "You are in danger. You must leave town immediately or terrible things will start to happen." Dora laughed. She didn't believe one word of that fortune cookie. She continued to eat her food in the Chinese restaurant.
When Dora finished eating, she got up to leave the restaurant. Suddenly, the lights flickered on and off and the windows started to shake. "This can't be happening." said Dora. She ran out of the door and headed for her house. When she reached her house there was a note attached to her door. It read "You can run, but you can't hide." She looked down the hallway to see if anyone was there. She ran inside her house and locked her door.
While inside her house, Dora received a mysterious phone call. The voice was scratchy and very scary. Dora asked who was on the phone. The voice replied "Your Worst Nightmare." Dora was really scared. She didn't know what to do. She called the police. They didn't believe her. Dora packed her things and left town, just as the fortune cookie had warned her to do.
Dora stayed in an unknown town for 1 year. She was determined to find out who was responsible for the fortune cookie and who was making her life miserable. She did a lot of research and found out that the cookie was made in China. She contacted the company. It turned out that a group of employees named Barney, Arthur, and D.W. decided to play a joke on Dora. They were fired from the company and Dora lived in peace. The trio went to jail for their big prank on Dora afterwards.
*Author's Note* This is my first Fanfic about Dora the Explorer and other children's shows. I made this story 2 years before I came here. Maybe I will think about making a sequel when I get enough positive reviews and feedbacks.
