Love Will Find Everyone
Simba POV
What a sight to behold. To the untrained eye it just looked like your average cub lying atop a rock. To me, it was a gorgeous lioness whose fur was dyed with the finest vanilla paint and sapphire eyes that could make even the hardest lions stare with awe. What could accompany such a fantastic marvel more than an angelic name? Her name:
Nala
Every aspect about her was perfect. Her body, her coat, her voice, her smile. You could tell that the kings took their time when she was made; wanting to make sure everything was flawless. Boy did they succeed.
She and I had been friends for quite some time now. When we first met I had no idea the attachment I would develop to her. It amazes me how I've managed to keep it a secret this whole time. Mostly because I had to. She was stunning, and I was just well, a dork. Sure I was the prince, but that fact alone isn't enough to make a girl love you. Especially if you have the heart and mind of a newborn.
Nala was only just younger than me. However, she wasn't a stranger to the dating world. Nala had developed 3 relationships. That's 3 more than I've had. On the off chance that a cub wasn't drooling over her (which I can't blame them for) I would hang out with her. Today was one of those days.
It was just Nala, Chumvi and I sitting around the waterhole. Chumvi and Nala were close friends, but they would never be boyfriend/girlfriend. Both of them had admitted that it would never happen.
For the most part, I kept quiet. Besides the occasional "yeah," "Ok," "sure," my mind stayed in its wondering state. I didn't know why, but things had become increasingly awkward between me and Nala. I found it easier to cope with this if I didn't speak as much. That way I didn't say something stupid or embarrassing.
"Hey Simba, you want to join us back here on planet Earth?" Chumvi's voice brought me out of my daze.
"Huh … oh. Yeah, sorry." Damn I was daydreaming again! Nala let out a quiet giggle at my abrupt awakening. "I was just thinking"
"Since when aren't you thinking?" Chumvi chuckled. It's true, for the past few weeks I haven't been able to communicate very well with anyone else. Let alone when Nala was around. I just couldn't get her out of my head! Whatever this feeling was, it won't go away anytime soon. In the time its been around, it's been getting worse and worse, gnawing at my mind and my heart and it won't stop!
"Hey, why don't we go for a swim? That should help you relax a little Simba," Nala said trying to find something to keep me in the real world. To be honest a nice fun time swimming couldn't hurt.
"Yeah, maybe the water will help clear my head." Or maybe I just wanted an excuse to hang out with her more.
"Then come on! You too, Chumvi!" Nala yelled before we all jumped in, laughing and splashing each other like the playful cubs we were. Even with a soaked coat, Nala was still the most beautiful lioness ever to exist.
So, let me know you opinions on chapter one! I will let you know that the next chapters will be based on true events that happened to me a few months ago. I'm not planning on making this a long story. In fact, I only expect 3 chapters to come out of this. I have an idea for a big story in mind, but its still in the developing stage. So if you don't mind, it's 2:16 AM and I want to go to sleep, considering I've been working on this for the past two hours. Getting a story started is by far the most difficult part.
Don't forget to review! This is Jimmy signing off!
