These days, the world in ruins above my head, I hardly lift my head off my pillows.

A whole other world waits for me behind my eye lids, forgetting the blood red one I leave each time I close my eyes, and I never want to be away from it, away from him.

(prince charming waiting for me in my day dreams)

"We have forever, trust me Paul, the world needs a whole lot of fixing and we're the ones to do just that."

We have forever as two souls in one single body, touching and feeling just the same as any other couple (even if he's not another warm body), and I'm taking as much as forever as I can get.

It takes all of me to open my eyes, slip away from my prince and fall back into reality, (filled with old faces and hugging psychopaths) and stay away from him for more then a few minutes.

(forever with him in dreamland doesn't sound so bad)

"I already miss you, Caroline, and you haven't even left yet."

His fingers tips pull on me and all the others filling up this tiny space hoping to keep me to himself (the idea of Alpha, flesh and blood, scares the shit out of him) just for a couple more seconds.

"Don't worry I'll be back when ever a catch a chance to shut these eyes, trust me on that."

And each time I keep my word finding a silent place to close these eyes and wake up in his arms for the hundredth time in one single day.

He slips those real hands around me, his need for me never faltering even after all these years (driving him even madder at each step), trying to prove that he's here with warm lips.

(never as good as the pretend ones that I've kissed millions of times in these few months)

"He's here, and here. And you could never be any of those places, not ever."

I push away reality, showing him that prince charming who is buried deep in my skull is also in this damaged heart of mine (not even he could push his way in there), and choose make-believe.

"I'm back, prince charming."

"I knew you would be, sleeping beauty, forever in slumber with her prince. Now that is a happily-ever-after."
