This is a short one-shot about Luke. It is also my first SJA fic. The plot is very much like 'The Curse of Clyde Langer.'

A tear fell from his eye. Everyone hated him now. He lay on the floor. Thinking. It was almost as if his life was cursed. First his mum, then his best mate, then the world. The only person still talking to him was Rani. Bu he was on the run. She could never find him. Not now.

Luke clutched his right side in pain. He looked at it. There was a huge blue bruise there and one on his head. It's painful falling from the first floor of your own home. His mum pushed him out. He was luckily much stronger than a normal human. So he survived with a bruise.

''Hey, Luke. Is that you?'' Rani asked, shaking his ice-cold body.

''Rani.''

''Luke.'' They both hugged.

''So, why'dya leave?'' Rani asked.

''Mum. She said she didn't want me. So she pushed me out of the window.'' Luke explained. Rani put an arm around his shoulder.

''Were you hurt?'' Rani asked.

''Not really.'' Luke replied.

''What do you mean not really?'' Rani asked worriedly.

''Its nothing, I promise.'' Luke lied. He slowly tilted his head and rested it on Rani's shoulder. He felt better that way. It reminded him of his mum. ''It's like I'm cursed. Whenever they said my name, they would hate me.''

''But I've broken the curse!'' A cheerful Sarah Jane said from behind.

''Mum!'' Luke cried.

''Oh, Luke! Don't ever run away like this ever again!'' Sarah Jane said as they hugged.

''If you don't push me out of the window, then yes.'' Luke joked.

''Were you hurt?'' Sarah Jane asked.

''No.'' Luke lied. But, as his mum put an arm around him, he let out a quiet scream.

''What's up Luke?'' Sarah Jane asked.

''I've just got a bruise there, that's all.'' Luke replied.

''Oh, I'm sorry Luke.'' Sarah Jane felt guilty for what she had done.

''Home sweet home!'' Sarah Jane opened the door. ''Right, you go and lie down in bed, I'll get you some food.''

Luke went into his room. He got changed and lay down on the bed.

''Luke, Sarah Jane told me to give you this.'' Rani came in with an ice pack. ''Is that better?''

''Yeah. Thank you.'' Luke replied. Rani stroked Luke's hair as he slowely dozed off.
