Why do we need them so badly? Especially when they left us? Especially when that certain someone is the one you love? But when you had the chance to forget all about him… he returns…

Chapter I: Sudden Question…

It's been 5 years since the Third Hokage died; it's been 5 years when the Fifth Hokage arrived in the village of Konoha; and it's been 5 years when "he" left the Konoha Village.

"Good-morning Sakura-chan!" a blond, spiky haired teenager ran towards their old meeting place. He waves at a certain pink-haired girl as he made his way there.

"Mornin' Naruto" She looked at him and sat on the rail of the bridge.

After 30 minutes.

"Damn that Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto impatiently, kicks a piece of rock.

"You're not yet used to it! He's always late! It's been, like what! Five years! Geesh…" Sakura looked down to the stream beneath the bridge and a sad look appeared.

Naruto still cursing Kakashi, threw rocks at the stream. So he didn't notice the sudden look on his comrade's face.

"Ne, Naruto…" Sakura looked up to the sky, as the cursing Naruto stopped throwing rocks and paid attention.

"Ya?" Naruto looked at her back.

The wind started blow a little. Leaves dances with it.

"I wonder…" She trailed off, while Naruto, behind her looked at her.

Naruto noticed his comrade's appearance now. Her bubblegum pink hair is long now. Not anymore the hair she had when they were thirteen. It was longer than before and swayed as the wind blew her face.

Since it's been five years now, they matured. Looked more like adults now.

They've been a two-member team, still with their old sensei, Kakashi. Since "he" left, and since Sakura's parents were murdered, Sakura trained harder than before. Tsunade, their Fifth Hokage, trained her and she became one of the best Shinobis! Their friends noticed how she handled everything. She never showed her true smile nor shows her teary eyes anymore. Even though it was like that, she pasted her "smile" on everyone. Yeah, she thought she could fool everyone, but she never fooled Tsunade and the other jounins. But she fooled her friends, the townspeople and she even fooled herself.

She wore her usual battle outfit, the one she still used to wear when they were still genins. She wore her head protector headband style, as always.

"……when will I die?" she continued her question.
