PAIRING: Jimlock (BBC Sherlock)
Sitting on the couch, relaxing, watching the telly, and having some tea. The ideal afternoon for a normal couple that enjoyed those things. The fact that Jim Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes even attempted it was an oddity. Both were sitting on the couch in 221B, Jim snuggled up close against Sherlock, cup in hand. How did they ever get this way? It wasn't that hard to figure out. It's what they do best, and that's with both of them being bored.
Both men weren't up for sex, both weren't up for fighting (Yes, they do enjoy that), and, even though Jim had wanted to, they would not plan a murder. Sherlock wasn't feeling like solving a case or planning one for that matter. He needed to do something simple, something easy to make his mind busy...Ah, that's it! An experiment!
Once suggested, Jim had a crooked smile on his face, implying many things and Sherlock waved it off. This was not the time for innuendos. If he were to do an experiment with Jim, they both had to agree. That was hard to do because both of them wanted to do very different experiments, Jim's being dirty, but not particularly sex and Sherlock's being more science-y.
His mind wandered over to what normal people do. Like John for instance. He and Mary always did normal couple things, like sitting on the couch, having tea, and watching the telly. They were by far a normal relationship. What, with Jim and Sherlock both wanting to kill each but still maintain a relationship? Not very normal. But if it's for an experiment, it's not real and only for data. Sherlock would collect data at how long both of them could stand it without complaining about and how long both of them could take before they wanted to quit.
It was sort of competitive, which one would crack first. They both were very competitive, so it should be fun.
"What kiiiind?" Jim, obviously getting impatient with him thinking and not saying anything.
"Do you know what normal couples do?" His showed hatred towards the word normal in his voice.
"Oh, yes, like Johnny Boy?" Jim was smiling.
"Yes, like John. I will be calculating how long it takes for both of us to crack from being in a normal relationship."
"Oh, it's a competition!"
Sherlock had nodded and made his way to the kitchen with Jim behind him. The tea needed to be made in order to have the first variables. The actual tea and the mug.
As soon as that was done, he handed the mug that he had for Jim and sat down on the couch and flipped through the channels. One channel had caught his eye and he put his knees to his chest. Jim sat next to him, snuggling against him. They've been like that for at least two hours now and neither of them are tired of what they're doing. John would probably never know about how they had helped the couple get rid of their boredom. Who would want to tell someone that their enemy is sleeping with them? Not Sherlock.
