"Mom" yelled Mikan. She was going to be late for the bus to school. "Where are my books?" "Wait, sweetie" Mikan's mom called. "I'm doing the laundry here, give me a second." "Mom, I'm going to be late for the bus." (Machine Whirring) "Mom, hurry up!" Mikan yelled. "Your books are in the shelves close to the crystal vase" Mikan's mom yelled. "Thanks, Mom" Mikan quickly left the house to get to the bus stop.
Flashback: When Mikan was a baby…
"Waaah Waaah Waah" Baby Mikan was crying. The Imai family had brought Mikan from an unknown person on the streets. "We have to raise this child, honey. I thought you said that you wanted a second child" Mrs. Imai said. "I know, but she's not our child." Mr. Imai said gloomily. " I know, honey, but now she is.. I don't want any child in this world to have a bad childhood like other children's around the world. I want to give those children's a nice home to live and especially to have memories with their parents." Mrs. Imai said crying. " But this child isn't ours. She belongs to someone that we don't know of.. We have to return her. We could get sued." Mr. Imai said raising his voice a little this time. "But-- Her parent's don't even want her. Why would they care for her? I think it's our responsibility now. Also, Hotoru is always so lonely. I think this would be a good thing for our family. Hotoru would finally get a sister to talk and play with. She wouldn't feel so lonely in her whole life." Mrs. Imai spoke. "I don't know about this.." "This of this for your lonely daughter. Don't think about it for me. Hotoru's always so sad. Please, she probably want's a sister or brother by now." Mrs. Imai begged. In the end, Mr. Imai finally agreed.
