I am an Alliance citizen soldier.
I fight in the forces that protect our worlds, our homes, our ways of life. By whatsoever I hold sacred - wether God or Gods or my own honor, I affirm and declare that I will preserve, protect and defend the High Charter of the Human Systems Alliance, its Ways and its Peoples to the last breath in my lungs and the last blood in my veins - or until I am lawfully released from this oath.
I will never surrender of my own volition. If I am in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
If captured, I will continue resistance by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others in escape. I will accept neither parole nor favors from the enemy.
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will resist to the maximum extent possible any demand for unauthorized information, and will not take actions which might be harmful to my comrades, allies, fellow citizens, or other protected sentients. If I am senior I will take command. If not, I will obey all lawful orders of those appointed over me and I will support them in all respects.
Should I become a prisoner of war subject to questioning, I am required to give name, rank, service number, date of birth, and means of biometric identification. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability, and never willingly submit to neurological analysis.
I will never forget that I fight for freedom, that I am responsible for my actions, that I have dedicated myself to the principles which keep us free, and that I am prepared to give my life in their defense. I will trust in that which is sacred and in this Alliance, my home.
