A/N: I wrote this short piece for week 1 of the MC Hiatus Challenge on Tumblr which was about gazes.

Their eyes met. A green gaze focused on a brown one as they rode the elevator to the 11th floor.

After their third date, Andy walked Sharon to her door, as he usually did. Ever since they started going out for dinners, she's told him it's unnecessary but he insisted on being chivalrous and now that they were dating, she actually found it romantic. She laughed at a joke he made as they reached her door, and his smile was radiant, as if she's given him the world. Andy's eyes shone and Sharon felt the flutter of a thousand butterflies in her stomach.

Their eyes met. A green iris widening and a brown one darkening as they stood in front of each other, not sure how to say goodbye for the night.

Being on a date - an old-fashioned date - meant that they didn't court each other the way other new couples normally did. It was then that Sharon realized that despite them being at her door, she didn't want their date to end just yet.

Their eyes met. An eyelid covered with a smoky eyeshadow slowly fell shut and the one under the dark, unruly eyebrows heavily followed as their lips met for the first time.

It was Sharon who initiated the kiss, her lips tentatively pressing to Andy's. He brought his palm to rest on her cheek, gently drawing her face closer to his. Spreading her lips, she let him take the lead and guide her in the dance of feverish tongues. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she pressed her body to his, enjoying his warmth before their lips parted and they stepped back from each other.

Their eyes met. Amorous and content smiles reflected in their gazes as they said goodnight and parted.

THE END

As always, I'd love to know what you think of this, so feel free to leave a review or send me a PM.
