Teacher's comments: Caterina has proven to be a happy, talented but overly happy student. Her bubbly personality shines through her time at Hollywood Arts. However she does seem childish, random and innocent. She may need more time to grow up.
Cat never thought that she was weird.
She usually got that along with, scatterbrained, random, strange, hyper even psychologically demented; but she never took it personally. To her it was just living life to the best. There was no point to life if all you did is mumble, cry and getting depressed. There was just way too much to live for.
She was fortunate to have her family, even her inedible object eating brother. She always loved them. Her parents were good to her and to be honest she's Daddy's little cupcake (That's why she dyed her hair, along with the fact that her favorite cupcakes were red velvet strawberry.). They were supportive most of the time. (Her mother didn't like the fact that she dyed her hair for a day, but she gotten over it.) Her parents used to shower her with love and sometimes a teddy bear as a little kid.
As she grew up, she started to notice that not everyone was as happy about life as she was. At first she thought that they were the weird ones. However they made it out that she was the weird one. In sixth grade she used to have a friend called Kelly Mickelson. She was "normal" according to everybody else. Yet at that time she begun to become less happy and more …sad. Actually even worse-her parents were about to divorce.
'Kelly?' Little Cat asked innocently, 'What's wrong?'
Kelly had curled herself up in a little corner of the playground. Her mousy hair had covered up her pale now reddening face. 'N-Nothing.'
Cat frowned, 'You can't be upset over nothing. Kelly…please tell me…'
Kelly's eyes started to water-she cried instantly. 'Mummy and Daddy don't like each other.'
A pang of sadness hit little Cat. She heard about couples splitting up and leaving their kids unhappy in the news when her parents weren't there to cover her eyes. 'Kelly…can I help?'
Kelly glared at Cat. 'NO! YOU CAN'T HELP! It's hopeless! There's nothing you can do! You can't just smile at them and everything will become fine! You're always so happy...I HATE IT!' Kelly screamed. 'Now-now…GO AWAY!' Poor Kelly ran off. Then it was Cat's turn to cry.
It was later that she would learn that when people get jealous, they tend to want them to feel their misery. It would be a few weeks later that Cat would be told that Kelly went to live with her mother. Cat never heard of her again- to this day she doesn't still know that Kelly ran away to Florida two years later.
Sometimes Cat did feel sad, but most of the time it was because every time that someone snapped at her…let's just say that she'd end up remembering an old friend. However crying and feeling down was rare for her.
So Cat continued to be the way she is. Loving every anything and everything in life that it precious, one red velvet cupcake at a time.
