Note: I had this idea after reading a few oneshots of FubukiXRyo, or idolshipping, whatever you want to call it. I haven't found one that was like this, so I decided to write one. Sorry if it sucks, but it was my first try at BL combined with a death. Please review...if you want...
The hospital. That's where Fubuki had been ever since the incident. Ryo had been the one to carry him there and ever since then, every day Ryo had visited Fubuki. Hoping that one day he would wake up.
The doctors had told Ryo that there was nothing they could do about his condition. They told him that he might not survive. Ryo chose not to believe any of this. He knew Fubuki was strong and that he would never give up his life.
Today, Ryo had gone to visit Fubuki once again, this time hoping he'd regain consciousness. The nurses let him pass; they all knew who he was and who he wanted to see. He walked straight to Fubuki's room, oblivious to anything that was happening around him.
When he entered his room, Ryo walked up to Fubuki's bed and sat on the chair that had been left for him right by his bed. He examined Fubuki for the thousandth time. He watched as he breathed. If he was able to breath, then he'd be able to wake up and be able to come back to the world in which he belongs.
"Fubuki," Ryo whispered as he had a sad look on his face. Ryo wasn't afraid to show his emotions around Fubuki. They had always been able to tell each other everything. Whether they were good, or bad.
"Please, come back," Ryo spoke in a soft voice, which was a little louder than his whisper. Suddenly, something caught Ryo's eye. Fubuki's mouth had twitched and his eyes began to flutter.
"Fubuki!" Ryo said, shocked and also happy that he was coming to. Fubuki's eyes opened slowly and he turned to Ryo.
"Ryo," Fubuki managed to say. His voice sounded dry and was barely audible, but Ryo was able to hear him. Ryo instantly grabbed his hand and held it in his.
"You're…alive," Ryo spoke with a smile on his face. Fubuki gave him a sad smile.
"Not…for long," He told him. It was getting hard for him to speak. Ryo looked confused at what he had just said.
"What do you mean?" He asked with concern as he held his hand tightly.
"You know…what I mean…my time…is up," Fubuki managed to say even though his voice was beginning to weaken even more.
"No…Fubuki…you don't mean?" Ryo asked.
"Yes…please…take care of…Asuka," He said and looked at Ryo with sadness in his eyes. Ryo, being the strong type held back his tears, but this time the sadness he was experiencing was just too much to handle. The tears came, as he could not hold them back any longer.
"Fubuki…you can't," He said through his tears, "You're stronger than this."
"I'm sorry, Ryo," Fubuki spoke, "This is…good-bye."
"No, Fubuki!" Ryo said loudly as he saw his friend's life slowly leave him. Fubuki's pulse began to weaken and his eyes grew heavier.
"Ryo…I…love…you," Fubuki told him, before his eyes closed, before his hand went limp in Ryo's, and before his heart stopped beating.
"No…Fubuki…Fubuki!" Ryo cried as he witnessed his best friend die. Ryo couldn't help but keep a hold onto Fubuki's hand. He didn't want to let go. He didn't want Fubuki to be gone. Forever.
Ryo stood there, crying until one of the nurses had stopped by to check on Fubuki's status. The nurse was unaware of what happened until she saw the tears flowing from Ryo's eyes. She gasped and tried to comfort him, but Ryo rejected her comfort.
The nurse left to go tell the doctor about Fubuki, which left Ryo alone with him. Ryo had managed to stop his tears long enough to whisper,
"Fubuki…I love you," He said and then started crying even more. This time, Ryo was unable to stop the tears.
