Noah Taylor Ride
You have to hear this for yourself:
I opened the door to see a middle aged man with black hair, dark eyes and olive skin. I held my celestial bronze knife behind my back.
The man held his hand out to shake and said "Fang Ride, does Max Ride still live here?" Rather than reply I grabbed the back of his wrist taking my knife to his palm, he didn't seem to think this was odd, but if it cut him it couldn't be him, but if it didn't… It did but not as deep as would be expected, nor did he turn to dust like the furie nor did he bleed icor like Hades had.
So I went to plan B and shoved him up against the house with "sword point" to his throat. He didn't struggle, I got the feeling if he did he'd have the upper hand, he just raised his eye brows and gave me a board look.
"Who are you?" I asked him.
"I told you." He replied.
I went over the possibilities; I had recognized him immediately from the picture my mom gave to put on my night stand and the name fit, but he couldn't be my dad, Mom said he wasn't a half-blood.
"But Mom said you weren't a half blood." I told him may have been a stupid idea but hey I'm impulsive sometimes.
He started to say something but got interrupted buy my sister, Nicole, who had just come flying (not literal) down the stairs into the front room, screaming up the stairs for mom. Who was down in an instant, Naomi on her heals.
"Noah, put away the knife." But before I did as my mother asked, I wanted my question answered. "What were you about to say?" I asked desperately, not bothering to put away my blade.
"Do as your mother says and I'll think about it." He replied.
I removed my blade and he said "Your mother doesn't know everything."
"Now excuse me," Mom said "who are you to say such things?" But just as she said this she seemed to realize who it was. "Fang? Fang!" She ran to hug him despite his recent comment.
"But mom he's a half-blood!" I said gesturing to the cut in his hand. Mom pulled away with her head cocked to the side questioningly.
"Descendant of a half-blood," He corrected.
