Notes/Summary: Otogi finds out about Jounouchi's other side.
It might sound strange but Jounouchi Katsuya is, in fact, a really secretive person. On the outside he acts dumb and brash, giving himself the stereotypical stamp of 'that idiotic bleached-haired guy who always tags along with the famous champion, Mutou Yuugi'. He seems to be foolishly chasing that Mai√a woman twice his age√giving "puppy love" a whole other meaning, tap-dancing on Kaiba's trousers like the idiot he is and emitting this certain... feeling that can make anyone lose one's appetite at the sight of pizza slices. Sometimes it's a wonder how Otogi puts up with that Jounouchi the few times they get to hang out together. And that's where he admits he can't see the trees in the forest anymore.
Jounouchi is a private person. With the way he keeps joking with that Honda and Yuugi, no one would have ever connected the dots. He only found that out when Anzu suddenly revealed one of her cousins was getting engaged. The news initiated a spread of unwanted information within the group√who is related to who and how would you see yourself over ten years√that sort of things. Jounouchi had stayed quiet during the whole discussion. His lack of response piqued his interest. It initiated a journey of prodding from his side in order to know Jounouchi better.
The other side of the cent is, however, not exactly something he had expected in the beginning. How many people know that, although Jounouchi is rather clumsy on his own two feet, he is an excellent mountain climber? And what about his secret desire to own a gold fish instead of a golden retriever he has led everyone to believe?
Ironically, it's this quiet side that makes Jounouchi very attractive in his eyes. The unending hunger to bask in Jounouchi's secret side gives him the drive and the courage to take the open seat next to the other on the 11 o'clock metro.
Black earphones peak out from under Jounouchi's tousled hair whenever his head lolls from side to side.
Sleeping.
Suppressing an amused chuckle from escaping his lips, he leans his head closer to Jounouchi's, hoping to catch the beat of the song that rocked the other into the world of dreams.
The train shakes. The rough movement lolls Jounouchi's head to one side. His slightly opened lips touched his cheek, leaving a fleeting unexpected kiss.
He freezes in his seat, eyes wide and falls down.
"Next stop, Kaiba Land,"
He immediately scrambles up and allows himself into the busy throng of passengers rushing out of the metro.
Jounouchi mumbles something incoherently and shifts in his seat to lean against the window.
