The feeling of hopelessness was overwhelming.
The first thing was the announcement that he was quirkless. He felt sad, yes, but he could deal with it. There was still hope. He still could be a hero. Just like All Might!
The second strike was the continuous barrage of insults and ridicule that he got from his classmate, Bakugo. By now he wondered, what had he done to deserve such a fate? He couldn't think of anything that he had done that justified this kind of.. Hurt. It hurt. It was then he started really doubting if he could be a hero.
The final thing that pushed him over the edge was his meeting with All Might. He had almost died at the hands of a villian, but now even that took a backseat in his mind. He couldn't stand it, what had he done wrong? What could he have done to deserve this fate?
He later heard that All Might had saved Bakugo from the same villian he was ambuhed by. He couldn't bring himself to care anymore.
He started thinking that nothing really mattered. He had done nothing wrong, but still he suffered. He had withdrawn himself from the world not responding to anything but the occasional question from his mother. He ate a meal a day and didn't go to school. He couldn't handle Bakugo right now.
What had he ever done?
