I Am Ready

There is nowhere to run, and nowhere left to hide. She was trapped, and there was no way out. She knows that she will meet death, but is she ready to face her fear when the Jedi are betrayed and her only safe haven is attacked? One shot, short story.

A/N: I know that I should be working on my other stories, but I had to get this short story out of

my brain. This takes place at the Jedi temple, when Anakin Skywalker and the clones marched into the temple and killed every single Jedi inside. Please enjoy. -Yksin

The clones shouted at her to stop, but her feet kept moving. She sprinted through the halls of the Jedi temple at top speed. She dare not go back, or she would meet death. But she had to stop, to catch her breath. The girl stopped running and took a huge gulp of warm smoky air. The smoke stung her lungs, but she didn't care. The voices of the clones returned, and the girl quickly broke out into a run. There was a sudden pain in her right arm and she collapsed onto the smoking red carpet. The girl whipped around and found several clones surrounding her with their weapons pointed at her head.

She panicked and grabbed her lightsaber off her belt. She jumped up, ignoring the pain in her arm and lunged at one of the clones. He cried out as she stabbed him in the chest. The clones opened fire, but she was able to deflect them all, despite her injury. After the last clone fell to the floor, she fell onto her knees. Her chest hurt, and her arm stung from the blaster wound. The girl's body was covered in sweat and her breathing was shallow.

The sounds of blasters and lightsabers filled the whole temple. She heard screams off terror and pain. A hot tear fell down her soft cheek and onto the ground. It seemed like she was there for hours, but only several minutes had past. The footprints returned, though they were only single footprints. The girl lifted her head up to see a cloaked man. The man turned on his blue lightsaber and held it to her throat.

The girl didn't panic and try to run. She just knelt there with no emotion on her face. She was one with the force.

The man raised his lightsaber and the girl closed her eyes. She would finally see her family again, after all this time, she would be home.
