Title: Written in the Stars
Rating:K
Warning: Slash
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Summary: Sure, Jack had done some pretty over the top extravaganzas while they were together, but nothing quiet so romantic.
A/N: Well, my friend gave me a bunch of writing prompts. There are at least twenty, so I will have more one-shots coming. This one is 'stars, peanut butter.' Enjoy!
"Well..this is a," the words that really described it failed to come to him, "surprise."
"A good one, I hope." The other man's smile was too large for Ianto to disagree.
"It is unexpected." Jack grabbed the younger man's hand, pulling him further into the room. The once small, dank room that stood unused in the bottom of the hub was now covered in brightly lit stars. There were glow-in-the-dark ones stuck to the ceiling and walls, lights hung from one corner to another. A black light sat in the corner to show the small stars on the blanket strewn across the floor.
Ianto was in awe. Sure, Jack had done some pretty over the top extravaganzas while they were together, but nothing quiet so romantic.
"Told you I'd show you the stars." Jack joked. Ianto only replied with a small smile and a 'huff', not so sure how he should react.
"You did, I remember." He wished he could have come up with a better response, but there wasn't one. What was he going to tell Jack? What was Jack trying to tell him?
"Sit, I have food." Ianto finally noticed a small basket at the end of the blanket. He rolled his eyes, completely aware of Jack's culinary abilities. Still, he sat comfortably across of the immortal man.
Jack rummaged through the basket, pulling out various food items. Most of them (not including the sandwiches, which were handcrafted) had to be store bought.
"Two hundred years and you still can't cook." Ianto teased the Captain.
"Between all the dying and saving the world, I just never found the time." Jack handed Ianto a sandwich. The archivist opened the two pieces of bread, inspecting the contents.
"Isn't a peanut butter and jelly sandwich supposed to have, I don't know, peanut butter?"
"Sure, if you want to be subjected to things everyone else in the entire world does for the rest of time." Ianto raised his eyebrows. Of course he believed mothers made PB&Js for their children throughout time, but Jack loved normalcy. "I hate when it gets stuck to the roof of my mouth."
Ianto simply nodded, "ah." He then leaned forward, catching Jack's lips in his own. He made sure to brush his tongue against the roof of the immortal man's mouth.
When he leaned back, Jack just smirked. "I may have to reconsider my standing on peanut butter."
