A/N: I just kinda thought of this all of a sudden in my Italian class one day…there's an English-to-Italian glossary at the end. Hope you like!
Italian
Manjoume was idly doodling in his Italian notebook(a class made mandatory by everyone's favorite professor), waiting for the bell to ring. He glanced around the near-silent classroom, to see Juudai and Sho sleeping on top of their homework. Hayato was desperately trying to remember how to conjugate irregular verbs. Asuka and Misawa were reviewing their work, and Ryo was absorbed in a very thick book. He sighed and propped his head up with his fist, gazing off into space.
Manjoume was jolted out of his daydream when a small origami heart collided with his head. He looked angrily around, but everyone was still engrossed in their activities. Gingerly, he unfolded it.
Mon amore
Manjoume gave it a quizzical look, wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him. As he slid the paper into his pocket, another heart landed in front of him. He wasted no time in reading this one, and snatched it up almost the instant it hit the desk.
Posso comprarlo una bevanda?
Manjoume was shocked. First someone called him their love, now they wanted to buy him a drink? Again, he turned and frantically searched for the sender, but no one was even smiling. Manjoume shrugged and the paper joined the previous one in his coat pocket.
It was about ten minutes before another heart appeared. This was getting highly aggravating to poor Manjoume, who half expected the next one to ask him which drink he preferred!
Che voi prefer?
Now Manjoume was just confused. There was nothing to indicate who the sender was, and no one in the room showed even the slightest hint of having anything to do with them. Intrigued out of his teenage mind, he added the latest heart to his collection and leaned back in his seat waiting for the bell to ring.
For the rest of class(which was only about fifteen minutes, really), Manjoume was undisturbed by delicate paper projectiles. When the bell did ring, he sighed, giving up on the whole affair, and nonchalantly gathered his belongings while the rest of the students raced out the door.
When he finally did exit the classroom, he froze with a very shocked expression on his face. Ryo Marufuji leaned against the wall, holding two sodas in his hands. He smiled slightly when he saw Manjoume in the doorway. Slowly, Ryo detached himself from the wall and walked toward him, handing Manjoume one of the sodas.
"Ti amo."
My love(masculine)
May I buy you a drink?
Which do you prefer?
I love you.
