This is just a short explanation for something that's been bugging me - why didn't Alice see Bella and all the trouble she would cause? Please Read & Review!

I am not Stephanie Meyer. I do not own Twilight.

Alice flew through the forest, her bare feet (she would never put a pair of Jimmy Choos at risk!) kissing the dirt and fallen leaves. Her faithful soldier ran beside her, as always, enjoying their isolation from the family and planning to use said isolation in many wonderful ways after they ate. Alice saw this, of course, and giggled excitedly. She pointed to the right and he, having learned from long experience, did not question her, but sped that way without hesitation.

Sure enough, they soon came upon a herd of generously proportioned moose. They attacked before the animals were able to flee, and pursued until they had drunk their fill.

It was not until Jasper had finished his last animal and, sated, turned to his wife to satisfy another urge that he noticed she had frozen. This was not an uncommon occurrence, to be sure, but the emotions emanating from her set him on edge: complete and total confusion.

Some confusion was fairly normal, and usually was accompanied by, "Why would Emmett have his legs super glued together?" or some other such utter nonsense, but total confusion was a wholly different beast. It meant that the vision was of something, or someone, entirely previously unknown; and the unknown, as everyone knows, is dangerous.

Alice was somewhat aware of Jasper's unease – a part of her mind was always focused on him – but the majority of her concentration went to the massive pair of brown eyes that had randomly appeared in her mind. She didn't get much else – pale face, brown hair – but she knew, with the certainty that came with some of her visions, that the Brown-Eyed Girl was coming soon. But then, after only a few seconds had passed, the vision abruptly changed to something completely different.

Jasper had been uneasy about the unknown confusion Alice felt before, but he knew these new emotions, and this time he knew he was in trouble. Resigned to his fate, he started running back towards the car – there would be no after-dinner delight today, he knew.

Hours later, their plane landed in Paris, France, in time for the January 2005 launch of Giorgio Armani's Privé Collection.
