So I haven't worked on this story or any others for that matter in a long time, but I recently got a review on this one and decided to pick it up, but my writing has gotten much better since I first wrote this so I'm now revising it.

"Happy New Year!" Katie exclaimed, throwing Cheetos into the air and falling back onto her pink beanbag on the ground.

Elsa groaned and yelled back, "It's July you idiot, and stop wasting perfectly good Cheetos!" Looking over at her, Katie stuck her tongue out at the younger brunette.

"You two are such a freaking handful, you know that?" Cassie sighed from the top bunk of Katie's bunk bed next to Julie.

"Seriously guys, would you please shut up? I'm to read the book I just had to read," Julie ordered, throwing her black pillow at Else and Katie. Cassie laughed at the bewildered look on Katie's face. Julie laid on her back with a sigh as she held her book above her face. "I still don't understand how you three are so crazed about this series."

Cassie turned from Katie to Julie with fury in her blue eyes. "You dare insult the awesomeness that is Harry Potter?!"

"How was I insulting it?" Julie asked back, rolling her hazel eyes.

Katie glared at her friend before responding with no real explanation, "You just did okay."

"If you say so," Julie muttered, unheard by her three best, and extremely odd, friends. She put Harry Potter down and pulled her favorite book, Maximum Ride, from her bag.

"At least give it a chance!" Elsa whined from below.

Julie rolled her eyes at her similar looking friend and glared at her retorting, "I've already read half the book; I'm not sure how much more of a chance I can give it!"

"I don't care!" Elsa screamed.

"I will smash you in the head with Mr. Potato Head!" Katie screamed from the floor.

Julie sat back up with a raised eyebrow. "Umm, Katie, I-I don't know if you know this, but Mr. Potato Head is just a head," she explained slowly.

"Yeah, that, and we don't own a Mr. Potato Head!" Elsa yelled in frustration at her friend.

Katie sat back as Julie put her head in her hands perplexed by how crazy her friends were. "I can dream!" Elsa yelled at the girls.

Feet started pounding up the stairs as Katie's older sister, Kirsten, ran into the room. "Turn on Channel Nine!" she yelled.

Elsa fell back onto the floor and groaned, "Eww, news."

Ignoring her comment, Katie turned the TV the channel and saw the Avengers fighting in San Francisco. The five also saw the God of Mischief, who'd invaded Earth months ago, running from them.

"I've never been so great full that we live in Southern California," Cassie said in shock. She covered her mouth as she watched the destruction on the screen.

Julie's eyes got glossy as she saw the half destroyed city. "My Dad's in San Francisco," she whispered, just barely audible. The other four turned to the short haired brunette, as they had heard her anyway. Cassie pulled Julie in for a hug as tears began streaming down her face.

"I'm sure he'll be okay Jewls," Elsa assured her friend, turning down the volume on the TV as the newscaster read the incredibly high death and injury rate.

Katie stood up with a smile and agreed. "Yeah, maybe he got out before all the bad stuff happened!"

"How? He doesn't own a car!" the crying girl retorted hopelessly.

Katie put a hand on Julie's knee and said, "Just keep hoping. You never know how much it could change things." Julie wiped her eyes with the back of her hands and smiled at Katie, who smiled back happily.

"So," Kirsten looked at the girls, "what now?"

"You've got a car right Kirsten?" Elsa asked, an idea coming to her. Kirsten nodded her head with a confused expression. "So, you can drive us to San Fran?"

"What about your parents?" Kirsten asked the four girls.

Julie smirked and replied, "Well, if Julie's Dad is still there, there would be an adult."

"And besides, we may not act like it, but we're twenty-two-years-old," Elsa added.

Kirsten gave her an annoyed look and reminded them, "You're also still college students with no money or vehicles yourselves who want to go to an almost destroyed city." She pointed at the news still playing on the TV to prove her point.

"Come on Kirsten, we really need this!" Katie tried to persuade her sister.

The older girl sighed as she thought over the idea. "Fine," she started, "but, two days is all you get, and you're going to owe me big time after this!"

"Thank you!" Katie exclaimed, hugging her. "I love you!"

"Yeah, yeah whatever," Kirsten said, hugging her back.

Julie smiled and thanked her, "Thank you so much Kirsten."

"So, when do we leave?" Cassie finally asked.

"Tomorrow morning, get packing," Kirsten replied before leaving the room.

Elsa sighed before saying, "I've never been so happy that we all live together!" She flopped down onto the bed's bottom bunk happily.

"Then get your bag and pack," Julie told her, climbing down from the top bunk. She walked to the closet and pulled out her teal suitcase. She then reached over and pulled out Katie's black suitcase before putting it down next to next to her.

Cassie yawned and agreed, "Yeah, I should probably pack before I fall asleep. Goodnight." The girls said their goodnight as Elsa left with the red head to go to their room.

The next morning, the five girls packed their bags into Kirsten's black Mazda 5 and climbed in. Kirsten driving, Katie in the passenger seat, and Julie, Elsa, and Cassie in the back seat,

"Why do I have to be squeezed in the middle?" Elsa whined like a five-year-old.

Kirsten groaned in frustration and threatened, "Tell you what, either sit in the middle, or don't go at all." Elsa immediately shut up.

"So, how far is San Francisco anyway," Cassie asked, trying to change the subject.

Kirsten checked the map on her phone and replied, "Around six hours and nineteen minutes."

The drive lasted just as long as Kirsten's phone had estimated and the five girls had managed to get into the city without much hassle; some odd looks, but no hassle.

"Did we seriously just get here without traffic?" Katie asked in surprise as she looked at the large buildings of San Francisco. Some were destroyed due to the battle, but many were still intact seeing as they had entered the city on the much less damaged side.

Elsa rolled her eyes and said, "Well considering everyone's leaving, I wouldn't expect traffic going into the city."

"True," Katie agreed, paying more attention to the buildings around her.

Kirsten looked at all the buildings and signs, trying to find one to get to the hospital. "Julie, you're from around here, where's the hospital?" she asked.

"My dad's should be on Potrero Avenue," Julie answered, pointing out a street further down the road.

"Jewls, I don't think they take people to the hospital they normally go to," Cassie told her.

The brunette shrugged and told them, "I know, but it's the one closest to the house and where he works. It's the one he'd most likely be at if he got hurt."

"Alright," Kirsten said. She drove around for about another ten minutes before actually finding the hospital with Julie's direction. Once the car stopped, Julie jumped out and ran to the hospital doors. Running after her, Elsa caught up to the frantic girl tugged on her arm to make her slow down.

"Would you wait a minute for the others!" she told her sternly.

Julie nodded with a look of worry as the other three girls walked over and the five went into the lobby. Julie walked up to the front desk and asked the woman there about her father.

"He's on the second floor, room 239," the lady behind the desk informed her. Julie thanked her and started towards the elevators.

After the elevator ride up, they found Julie's father's room. Julie opened the door and peaked in quietly. "Dad?" she called into the dark room. She walked in slowly and saw her father lying on the bed messing with a bandage on his arm.

He looked up her, recognizing the voice and went wide eyed. "Julie, what are you doing here?" he asked in confusion

Julie smiled and replied, "Did you honestly think that I'd see the city get destroyed and not make sure you were okay?" She walked over to the bed and sat down next to it as the other girls made their way in.

"Well I knew that, but they have this thing, it's called a phone," he told her. She smiled at him. "How'd you get here anyway?"

"I drove her," Kirsten answered, bringing Julie's father's attention to her and the three girls next to her

Julie's father smiled at the four and said, "Well then thank you, I never thought I'd be so happy to see Elsa."

Elsa let her mouth fall open in a mock hurt expression and whined, "Hurtful!"

"Moving on, are you alright Mr. Sadler?" Cassie asked him, ignoring her childish friend and changing the subject.

"Just some side pain is all, thank you Cassie," he replied with a smile.

"Excuse me ladies," a voice said from the door. A man with spikey, black hair in a business suit and sunglasses stood there with a smirk.

"Yes?" Katie asked, raising an eyebrow at the strange man that seemed to have come from out of nowhere.

He walked forward and looked at Julie and her father. "You know her?" he asked the man in the bed.

"Yes, she's my daughter," Julie's father replied, holding Julie's hand with a proud smile.

The man in the doorway got a sad smile for a second before it went away. "Alright, just making sure," he said, his smirk and all back on his face. He turned to the four other girls. "When did you all get here?"

"Just a few minutes ago," Cassie answered, still confused as to why the man was here. He certainly didn't look like a nurse or doctor to her, and especially didn't act like one.

"Okay, so do you guys live in San Francisco?" the black haired man asked, taking off his sunglass and putting them in his pocket.

Katie shook her head and told him, "About six and a half hours south of here, and can I just say that you look incredibly familiar."

The man laughed before he said, "Tony Stark, owner of Stark Industries." Katie's eyes widened at his answer.

"And to what do I owe the pleasure of having Tony Stark in my hospital room?" Julie's dad asked with a laugh, hiding the shock and confusion in his voice.

"I was just walking around and heard you talking. Just making sure everything was in order," Tony replied.

Kirsten looked around for a minute before asking, "If you don't mind my asking, what are you doing here, Mr. Stark. In the hospital I mean."

"Just some Avenger's business, nothing special," he answered with a shrug.

Julie looked up at Tony with a sad look before asking asked, "Do you know when I can take my dad home by any chance?"

Tony thought for a moment before picking up Julie's father's data sheet. "About two or three day, his doctor will probably have a better answer though."

"So I guess we'd better get a hotel," Elsa groaned, the tiredness in her voice obvious

"You guys can go, I think I'm gonna stay here," Julie told them, gesturing to her father on the bed.

Her father held his free hand up to stop the girls as they were about to walk out and said, "No, Julie, give them the keys to the house and address. We have plenty of guest rooms you can stay in."

"The house wasn't destroyed?" Julie asked in surprise.

"No, managed to stay out of the battle. I got knocked out at work, that's what got destroyed," he told her with an almost fake smile.

Julie walked over to the girls and dropped the keys into Elsa's hand. "You already have the address in your phone right?" she asked. Elsa nodded. "Don't destroy my house, you already have enough student loans to pay off as it is."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Stay outta trouble you black loving freak," Elsa joked. Julie rolled her eyes. "See, ya."

"Bye," Julie said as the girls left.

After a few minutes, Tony looked at Julie and asked, "Can I talk to you in the hall for a second?"

She raised her eyebrow at him. She turned to her father who nodded. The two walked into the hallway as Tony began to speak. "Your dad didn't want you to know, but I honestly think you should. He's having a major surgery on his back and hip that could leave him paralyzed for the rest of his life or possibly kill him, it's not likely, but it could happen."

"What, but you just said," Julie started, confused with what the billionaire in front of her was saying

"I lied, okay," he interrupted her quickly with a frustrated tone. Julie's eyes widened in shock and fear. "Are you okay?" Tony asked, realizing how she probably felt.

Julie looked at the floor and crossed her arms. "I, uhh, yeah. I'm okay. I'm just going to go outside for a few minutes.

"Alright, go ahead," Tony nodded understanding, starting to walk away.

Once she lost sight of the billionaire she ran down the hall and to the elevator. She went to the lobby and dashed through the doors unnoticed. Warm air hit her face as tears started coming. She ran around the corner, between two buildings and let the tears pour. She slid down the wall and put her head in her hands.

"Daddy," she whispered into her hands.

So as I said before, I'm rewriting this and this story is actually a reader interactive story so at the end of every chapter there are two choices given, but seeing as this story already has two chapters, I'll pick up with that next chapter. So I hope you enjoy this now that my writing has improved, and if you wouldn't mind reviewing to tell me what you think of the new version, that'd be great.
