'Why do I feel the way that I do? Why do I feel so great when I lay eyes on, that jerk, Darien? I feel like someone has just given me the World. When he is near me, I feel safe and happy. I feel like nothing can go wrong, like there isn't really any Negaverse. That it is all just a bad dream.' Serena sighed and looked out the window of the arcade.
'Serena is so cute, no matter what she does. I wonder why Darien never sees this side of her. She hasn't had a klutz attack once so far today. I wonder if something is wrong?' Andrew walked over to Serena's booth and asked, "What's up Serena?" Serena looked at Andrew and said, "I was just thinking." Andrew arched an eyebrow a trait he had picked up after spending too much time with Darien. Serena sighed. "I was just thinking about Darien." Andrew pulled Serena into his arms. 'I can't believe that Serena loves Darien. They are always fighting. I knew that they were attracted to each other, but love?' Andrew rested his head on hers and sighed.
That's how Darien found them. Andrew's head on Serena's and his arms wrapped around her. Darien's deep sapphire eyes flashed blood red. Without stopping to think, Darien yanked Serena out of Andrew's embrace. Serena gasped and fought against Darien's bruising grasp. "Darien? What do you think you are doing? Let go of me!" Darien's dark sapphire eyes flashed murder. Serena kept squirming, but Darien just lifted her into his arms, princess-style. Andrew got up to get Serena away from this crazed version of Darien. "Dare chill! What's wrong?" "She's mine!" Darien snarled and started to back away, with Serena glaring up at him. "Dar-" Serena tried to yell, but Darien ran out the arcade door. As he was running, Darien started to have a berating conversation with himself. 'So what's your excuse? Grabbing Serena like that, and NOW running through the streets of Tokyo.' Darien scowled. Serena looked up into Darien's fierce facial expression. 'What's he thinking about?' Darien's conscience continued to prick at him. Upon arriving in front of his apartment building, Darien took a leap and landed on the fifth level balcony, in front of the apartment that belonged to him. He went inside with Serena in his arms, and proceeded to lock all of the doors and windows. When this task was completed, he set his captive upon the middle of the living room carpet. "Darien? What's with you? Why-" Serena never got the chance to finish her tirade. Darien's mouth had swooped down and claimed hers. Darien poured everything he possessed into that kiss. For a few minutes, Serena fought against Darien's ruthless passion. He easily overpowered her and she melted against him. When they finally broke away, they were both breathing harshly. Serena's clouded eyes were a testament to her enjoyment of the kiss. "Darien?" "I love you, Serena. I teased you because you are so adorable when you get mad. I love the way that you are always there for your friends. I love the way that you fight the Negaverse. I also love the fact that you have never given up on me no matter what happened. Say you will be mine, forever. I love you, for every thing that you were, are and will be." He would have gone on but Serena kissed him. "Someone once to me that Love is the one thing in this world that is never wasted, never futile, but it can hurt like nothing else on Earth. Darien, I have loved you for so long. Never doubt that. I know you belong to me and to no one else. I love you always and forever."
