A/N: This is my first fanfic for Bones. It just, kinda popped up in my head earlier today. English isn't my motherlanguage, so if you find any errors, then you know why. An my keyboard is fucked up so if there is missing an 'h', or something else somerwhere, don't be mad.
Storm, Thunder and Love
It was a rainy an stormy day in DC. Everything seemed to be normal, but it wasn't a normal day. Everybody, Brennan, Booth, Angela, Hodgins, Cam and Zach, was stuck in the lab, no one wanted to go outside when the weather was like this.
The thunder came nearer and nearer. A lightning stroke, the Jeffersonian, and was out of light. Everything went dark, most of the city went dark. Brennan crawled into her office after a flashlight.
'No batteries. Again!' She could hear someone laugh nearby. The laugh wasn't just a, 'haha', it was more like a laugh someone's trying to hide.
"Okay, I know you're over there Booth! Come on. Give me the batteries!" she said.
"Who says it's me who has the batteries Bones?" he asked her.
"Well, you're the one who's laughing and the only one who has been in my office all the time. So, now give me the friggin' batteries!" she almost shouted.
"Hmm, I want something for them." He said with a smile.
"Anything, just give me the batteries."
"Anything, hmm, I know it. I want a…kiss."
"No way, I'm not kissing you!"
"Come on Bones, I know you want to."
"NO!"
"You get the batteries, I get a kiss."
"Still no."
"Then you get no batteries."
"Come on Booth. Just give me the batteries."
"Not before I get my kiss."
"Fine!"
She crawled over to where he was sitting and sat beside him, leant in and kissed him. She quickly pulled away again.
"You've got your kiss, now give me the batteries."
"Fine here are your batteries."
"Thank you Booth."
She slowly crawled back to her desk. All she could think of was the kiss they just shared.
"Booth?" she said
"Yeah Bones."
"What did you feel when, you know."
"What I felt when you, kissed me."
"Yeah."
"Well, I felt happy, and uhm…well, I felt like I always feel when I'm around you."
"What do you feel when you are around me Booth?"
"Well, uhm…it's a little…you know…I can't explain." He stuttered.
"Shall I tell you what I felt?"
"Uhm, yes, that would be great."
"Well, I felt…like…I…fell more…" she trailed off.
"You felt like you fell more what Bones?" he asked her.
She exhaled heavily. "I felt like I fell more in love with you." She whispered, almost like it was to herself.
"Bones? What's wrong?
A single tear fell from her eyes.
"Temperan-"
"I'm falling more and more in love with you for every single moment that passes by Booth." She cut him off.
"Wha…Bones, I didn't know…. Uhm, I don't know what to say." He took two long steps towards her and was right in front of her. She slowly leant towards him, like she was going to fall. Her head hit is chest and she began to cry. His mind was spinning and thinking.
"Temperance? Look at me, just for a minute, please." She lifted her head so she was standing face to face with him.
"What I was trying to explain to you earlier was, that I'm in love with you too, and have been for a very long time, and nobody or nothing is ever going to change that. Temperance Brennan, I love you."
"I love you too Booth."
Her head hit his chest again and she started to cry, but it wasn't because she did something stupid or was sad. No, she was crying because it was the happiest moment of her life.
