Eren's POV
Levi and I are the only one's left. The zombie apocalypse happened and everything took a turn for the worse. This zombie thing started because of some virus that was going around. Hanji tried her best to make a vaccine for it but something backfired and it just somehow started all this. After it started she tried to counteract her mistake but she was bitten and she couldn't even start to find a cure for it. After she died we knew we were fucked.
At first we were doing fine. We had a good camp set up, had plenty of food, everyone was alive. But then… one of the zombies Hanji accidentally created got in and everything went to hell. The first one to get bitten was Jean and he made us kill him so he wouldn't hurt us but Armin… he hesitated with pulling the trigger and then he turned and from then… things got worse.
Eventually, everyone turned and Levi and I are the only ones still human but we can't stay alive for much longer. Our food is gone and the zombies keep coming in and I'm getting weaker and weaker because of the starvation and I keep transforming into a titan to take them out. He knows we can't hold out for much longer but he doesn't seem bothered by it. I guess he's trying to be strong for me.
We started barricading the door because of today's latest swarm. It's no use, we're going to be eaten and he knows it. As he blocks the door, my feelings get in the way and I lose it as I back away and slide down the wall and hysterically cry. Levi sees and gives me a sympathetic look and held me as the zombies of our friends pounded on the door.
"Eren… please don't cry. we're going to get through this." I cry harder and hold onto him. The only thing filling my ears is the zombies pounding on the door.
"We're going to die! What's the point in continuing Levi? I'm getting weaker and weaker from starvation and titan transformations and I know you're getting tired of this! I see the bags under your eyes…" Levi touches his eyes and sighs as he holds me tighter.
"I want to go on for as long as I can and I will go on for as long as I can with you by my side. I'll protect you until my death." Which, might I add, will come very soon…
"My life wasn't supposed to be like this. I was supposed to join the Survey Corps… I was supposed to help in exterminating the titans…"
"Eren, its alright."
"Most of all, I wanted to be your husband and kill titans with you." Levi's eyes widened and the zombies are breaking down the door. I cry harder and he holds me tighter and in a broken voice he sings me a song.
"I have died everyday waiting for you~ Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years~ I'll love you for a thousand more~" I knew this song. He would sing it to me when I had a nightmare. The barricade he put up had started to come down and he held onto me tighter. He covers my eyes and shields me from what's happening and rubs my back.
"And all along I believed I would find you~ Time had brought your heart to me~ I have loved you for a thousand years~ I'll love you for a thousand more~" I finish with tears in my eyes and choked sobs in my throat and the barricade comes down and the zombie swarm in. We look at each other and kiss one last time.
"I love you." We said at the same time and then the zombies started to eat us and the last thing I hear is Levi screaming for me and struggling to get away before everything goes black.
