At the dinner table, Emily Elizabeth, her parents, Clifford, and Daffodil are enjoying their food. Pretty soon Clifford was finished eating. Clifford whimpered. Emily Elizabeth looked at him and said, "Now Clifford, you already had enough doggie treat okay."
Clifford sigh so he had a plan. He decided to get up to the table and start eating the food that they had. Emily and her parents were shocked.
Emily Elizabeth said, "Clifford, get down from there."
Clifford ignored Emily Elizabeth and started eating one of her meatloaf.
Emily Elizabeth gasped and said, "Clifford, STOP!"
Clifford stopped eating and looked at Emily Elizabeth who is very furious. He whimpered.
Emily Elizabeth said, "Clifford, I am very disappointed in you. Since you ate my food, you are not allowed to sleep with me tonight."
Clifford gasped.
Emily left the table with her parents, leaving Clifford who is crying. Daffodil came up to him and said, "Clifford, are you alright?"
Clifford sniffed and said, "No. I can't believe Emily yelled at me like that."
Daffodil said, "Well, she was just making sure that you have good table manner."
Clifford said, "But I was hungry."
Daffodil sigh and said, "Would it help if you sleep with me tonight?"
Clifford said, "Can I?"
Daffodil said, "Sure Clifford. I won't let anything bad happen to my baby brother."
Clifford said, "Thank Daffodil."
As Clifford gave Daffodil a hug, they went to bed for a good night rest.
