I was sitting, eating breakfast, along with Kyo and Tohru whilst Shigure was out doing errands.
"The food's good, Honda-san."
"Ah, thank you Sohma-kun!" She replied back, bashful as usual. I just smiled back gently.
We all continued eating and suddenly, I caught sight of Kyo's hand brushing against Tohru's. I brought my eyes off my plate and noticed that both their faces were a rose color.
Sighing quitely, I stood up, not wanting to see it any longer. It was just irritating.
"S-Sohma-kun! You're done already?" Tohru asked taking her hand away from Kyo and holding it tightly. Her face was still beet red.
"I'm just going to go out for a bit." I put on a fake smile and walked out the door, quickly sliding the door back behind me.
Chills ran down my spine, the cold air around me tickling my skin. I realized I forgot my coat. I shrugged it off.
I can bear this weather. If I can withstand watching their awkward and obvious liking to each other, I can stand anything.
I began walking, no particular place in mind. I let my feet take me anywhere. while that scene during the breakfast replayed. Over and over all the while my face was full of irritation.
"Yuki-kun.. Is that you?"
I looked up and Machi was standing there in front of me. She's been my girlfriend for about a month and a half now.
"Ah, Machi!" I greet, smiling. "Where did you come from?"
"I just came back from grocery shopping." She motioned towards the shopping bags she was carrying. "What brings you here?"
And she didn't notice that smile was only a facade.
While taking some of the shopping bags for her, I answered, "Just walking around, really."
"Oh. Well, I'm glad I saw you here." Her lips curved into a warm smile.
"Me too.." I kissed her on the forehead.
We walked into her empty home. We put away the groceries. She grabbed my wrists, and set me on the couch. I felt her tongue in mouth whilst putting her arounds my neck and I instinctively put my arms around her waist.
I know I'm alone if I'm with or without you.
But just being around you offers me another form of relief.
"You.. like.. me, don't you?" She asked.
"I like you." I kissed her on her neck.
And it's bad news,
Baby, it's bad news.
It's just bad news, bad news, bad news.
Her eyes were swelling up with tears but I didn't stop. And neither did she.
Because you're just damage control
For a walking corpse like me--
Like you.
