This does not follow the manga. Some things may sound like they follow the manga but they don't.
Just thought I might want to put that out there, so no one gets confused.
During the Third Great Shinobi War, the shinobi world was in chaos. It was during this time that the Land of Iron decided to take action. It was a neutral country with an incredibly strong military power and because the shinobi declared they would not meddle with the land, it gave them an opportunity. The leader, General Mifune, fell to his second-in-command Osamu. When he took over, Osamu put in motion his plan against the shinobi world. He declared all remaining shinobi were to be captured and put into slavery. Those who were captured were put under a seal, which sealed away their chakra. They were tortured and some were even executed when they tried to escape or rebel. And those who managed to escape capture went into hiding, plotting to rebel against Osamu.
The shinobi world was being overtaken by the samurai of the Land of Iron and the shinobi themselves were on the verge of extinction. With Osamu's rule of enslaving the shinobi and one day exterminating them completely, they were powerless under his reign.
Our story begins with a girl named Uzumaki Naruto and her journey to not only save those close to her but to restore the shinobi world. As she meets new people along the way, will they help her or leave her to fight alone?
Note: Not all of the Naruto characters will be in this story but those who were part of the Rookie 9, including a few others, will be between the ages of 17-19. I doubt any of the older characters will be in here but I might add a couple here and there.
Note (2): I noticed that I alternated between the words shinobi and ninja in this prologue. I changed it so in the summary I use ninja and in the story itself, shinobi.
