Takato had come back from school, and from seeing Jeri and the others, however, his mind was focused on her most of the time. He went to his desk where there was a pen and paper there. He picked up the pen and started writing on the unfinished poem that he had thought up for the last few days.

From the time I first met you

I have loved you.

I'm not sure when, nor how.

Who are you?

Even I don't know.

How do you melt my heart,

Even without touching me?

How do you smile,

Even in pain.

Even I can not do this

You are funny yet serious

Weak yet so strong

Every time I try to tell you how I feel,

I cower under your gaze.

After all you've been through,

You still smile bright.

Even after you have lost a loved one before,

And after

There was so much pain hidden in your beautiful eyes

Yet no one noticed, not even me

Never until I saved you from your nightmares

All I want to do is to keep you safe,

And to tell you,

That I love you.

After reading it over, he nodded to himself before rewriting it in a more better format.. When he was done, he went outside to the park with his poem. Hoping to find her later to giver it to her. He got to Guilmon's old hideout, disappointed that she wasn't around. so he walked in, not really paying attention. That is until a hand came out an rested on his shoulder, freaking him out.

He turned around, getting ready to fight, only to see Jeri standing there giggling at him. After a few seconds to realize how funny and stupid he looked he started to laugh a bit as well. "Erm…here Jeri, I wrote this for you." he said as he gave her the poem he had just made not to long ago. His hand kinda shook from the nervousness, not enough for her to notice however.

"Oh? What is it Takato? A Love poem?" Jeri asked, before laughing a bit while taking his poem.

"Er, something like that…" he replied, his mind on the edge, hoping that she wouldn't laugh at him for even doing such a thing.

Her eyes scanned the page slowly, and her eyes widening more as she read every sentence "Oh, Takato…I don't know what to say…" she said, after her second time reading it. She seemed more nervous about it than he had anticipated. So they just stood there for a few more minutes, before she wrapped her arms around him.

"Er, I take it you liked it?" he asked, kinda shocked that he was this close to her.

"I loved it Takato, like I love you" she said, almost crying in joy. And for that Takato was thankful.

The End
