First of all, this history takes place in Athens. Theseus, the Duke of Athens, is planning his marriage with Hippolyta, and as a result he is planning a large festival. Egeus enters, followed by his daughter Hermia, her beloved Lysander and her suitor Demetrius. Egeus tells Theseus that Hermia refuses to marry Demetrius, wanting instead to marry Lysander.
Theseus agrees that Hermia's duty is to obey her father, and threatens her with either entering a nunnery on marrying the man her father chooses Lysander protests, but is overruled by the law. He and Hermia than decide to flee by night into the woods surrounding Athens, where they can escape the law and get married. They tell their plan to Helena, a girl who is madly in love with Demetrius. Hoping to gain favour with Demetrius, Helena decides to tell him about the plan.
That is how Lysander and Hermia, with Demetrius and Helena run away outside Athens, in a magic forest. The four lovers think together about a plan to be able to marry their true love.
Lysander has suddenly been reminded that a very powerful witch lives in the depths of this magic forest. He thinks that she could certainly help them.
After there is agreement, the four lovers set off to visit this witch but to find her house, the witch set up many mortal traps like zombies, werewolf, ogres… The four lovers met zombies.
They tried to run away with great difficulty to save their lives. They are terrified but unfortunately Helena stumbles in this crazy track race and one of the zombies trick and eat her arm. Fortunately that Demetrius manages to kill zombies before he does not kill Helena.
By seeing so much blood Helena faints one moment and Demetrius made her a bandage to stop the bleeding. Then after several events, the four lovers arrived finally to witch completely exhausted. They finally meet the witch who removes the five senses to Egeus, for who may not intervene on the marriage of his daughter and that she can love the love of her life.
So they walked all in the direction of Athens by thinking of living a piece of new and good life. Indeed, having cast a spell to the father of Hermia, Egeus was devoid of its five senses, everything could then this past out best. Hermia can wife his beloved Lysander without we impose upon it. Arrived in town, relieved and happy, the lovers find them respective housing environments the time to recover from their misadventure.
A few weeks later, Lysander decides to marry Hermia, what she naturally accepted with enjoyment. However Demetrius does still have to admit his flame for Helena, who gets impatient strongly…In spite of the fate he does not look bewitched.
It's as if he was somewhere else since the meeting with the witch in the forest, he thinks of something else, as if the fate had not taken place. Furthermore he did not see the marriage of Lysander and Hermia of very good one eye, he did not want assisted there, we shall come out not the reason. The wedding arrived, the last preparations are made and the stress rises for the newlyweds but look forward to finally saying "Yes".
The guests arrived and everything was in place for the ceremony to unite Lysander and Hermia. The ceremony begins, but the one that we wanted for more made the entrance, Demetrius appears in the middle of the crowd, by waving and the hands by roaring.
All stunned, the guards advanced to make him go out of the room but the bridegrooms make a sign to let him speak. This is when he advanced, little by little, with a hesitating approach to admit his love to Lysander…
