Summary:His breath hitched in histhroat when he saw her.Archie said she waspretty, but henever mentioned shewas beautiful.Bughead.

Jughead walked with Archie and rolled his eyes. "What exactly are we doing here anyways?" Archie grinned widely a f him.

"I want you to meet someone." Jughead rolled his eyes again. Archie had a lot of ties in Riverdale. He had met some people Archie used to hang out with, but Jughead never really got along with any of 'em.

Jughead sighed "yay." he muttered in fake excitement. Archie chuckled.

"C'mon Juggie! You'll like this one!" Jughead gave up.

"Fine."

Archie pumped his fist "Nice! Come on!" Archie led him to someone's home. Archie knocked on the door. Jughead leaned on the fence, blowing the hair on his face. The door opened and he looked towards the door.

Jughead's breath suddenly hitched in his throat. Archie had always said she was pretty, but he never said she was beautiful. Betty Cooper stood there with a wide smile.

"Hey Arch!" Archie grinned "Hey Betty! I want you to meet someone!" Archie stepped out of the way to show Jughead. His mouth hung slightly open.

"Betty, I want you to meet, Jughe-"

"Forsythe Pendleton "Jughead" Jones the third. Pleasure." Jughead said, trying to not make the fact that he liked her evident on his features. She smiled at him. That one smile made his heart melt.

"Nice to meet you Jughead, was it?" he nodded with a soft smile. Archie grinned, noticing the chemistry between the two.

Jughead slid down the railing of the small staircase going down their porch.

Betty laughed at the raven haired boy's actions. It made him smile, seeing that he could make someone, aside from Archie, genuinely laugh.

Jughead took off his beanie and pushed his hair back. Betty gave him a lopsided grin.

"I like your hair."

he grinned back and adjusted the beanie he had just put on his head.

"Thanks. Archie, you okay back there?" Jughead smirked. Archie looked up from his phone. "Oh, yeah. Totally." Jughead scoffed, rolling his eyes. Archie looked up from his phone.

"Erm...guys, would you mind if I skipped out today..?" Archie asked. Jughead nodded.

"Of course, Arch. See you tomorrow?" Betty asked hopefully, having hearts for eyes. This made Jughead frown slightly, especially when Archie winked at her and chuckled, going up the porch to his home. Jughead gulped deeply, starting to cold sweat. It was just the both of them, and he had no idea what to do.

"So...the weather's nice..." he started awkwardly. She chuckled nervously.

"Y-yeah..." they walked in silence. Jughead bit his lip.

"You look beautiful." he blurted out. Betty looked at him in surprise. He pursed his lips, closing his eyes.

"You look pretty cute too..." she muttered, loud enough for him to hear. He smiled slightly.

"Uh, thanks..." their eyes met and fireworks exploded. He gave her a heartfelt smile.

"Friends?"

"Friends."

Both of them, though they obviously wouldn't say anything, probably wanted it to become something more one day...
