It was nothing like she had imagined it to be.
Nothing like the movies.
First of all, the rain was hitting her so hard in the face that it started to near enough sting her. And second of all, she looked like a drowned rat.
Girls in those romantic flicks never looked like drowned rats. They looked immaculate the whole time. This annoyed Tifa.
She looked to her right, hoping that the man who stood next to her wasn't over analytical of the situation like she was.
Cloud has his arms folded. He was clearly fed up.
They had been stood under a big oak tree for some time, watching the rain get heavier.
Yupp...Tifa thought. This is nothing like the movies.
He would have swooped in by now. He would have wrapped his right arm around my waist, put his hand on my soft cheek and lent in....He would have tightened his grip as if to never let me go. He would have pushed me up agianst...
' Tifa!'
She snapped out of it.
'Wha...?' She had lost herself again.
' I said, I don't think this rain will ever stop!'
She looked up towards the sky.
He might be right....
She had wanted to get Cloud out of the house so badly. Since winter had kicked in, less people needed Clouds' services and so he locked himself away, sometimes for days on end in that small, dark and dingy room. No wonder he had looked so unhappy for days.
She just wanted to get him out.
And although it was a major push to get him to agree, three hours later they were sheltering under the big oak, staring up at a dirty grey sky.
Tifa bit her lip in thought.
' Come on....'
She ran out from under the tree and held her arms out.
'When was the last time you just....accepted things?'
Cloud looked a her. Confusion swept across his pale face.
'Wha...what are you talking about Tifa?'
She kept her arms out as she looked at him.
Her hair was soaked, little raindrops found their way and clung there for a second, before dropping to the dull green grass below. Strands of her dark brown hair glued to her face as she spoke.
' The rain will fall as long as it wants to. We can't stop that....noone can. You just accept it, Cloud. Accept that sometimes, that's the way it is....and adapt to it.'
Cloud raised an eyebrow and dropped his gaze.
Accept? .... Accept?
Tifa threw her head back to face the on coming rain.
She started to twirl, faster and faster.
' Accept it Cloud !'
What does she mean, accept?
Images of Aerith, family, the fire that ruptured through his hometown, the dark headed soldier that offered out his hand, Tifa and the kids....
Accept....
He looked up to the girl swinging her arms freely in the rain.
Noone around, noone to care for.
She was free.
...In the middle of nowhere, two people could be seen dancing in the rain.
The rain fell harder then every before and a slight mist had formed above the grass that they stood upon.
But they kept dancing... dancing until their legs became sore.
...Just like in the movies.
