THE BATTLE OF THE TREATY
FROM THE MEDEVIL TIMES AGE
Wizard, Knight, and Sorcerer came sprinting through the remains of the castle. Suddenly a Demon dropped from the ceiling right at them, brandishing its teeth. Sorcerer raised his hand, but before he could even thing of a ritual the Demon dropped noiselessly on his head, "AUGHH!!!" screamed Sorcerer bending over to stop it from strangling him. Knight swung his sword without thinking and would have given Sorcerer a blow to the head if Sorcerer hadn't ducked leaving the Demon's head fully exposed. Sorcerer struggled to catch his breath as the headless and limp body of the Demon fell off his shoulders. They shot up the stairs.
Halfway up them, however, a rock burst through the wall with the force of a small bomb and destroyed the bottom half of the stairs including the stair Wizard had been about to step on. Wizard swayed dangerously for a moment trying to catch his footing, then opened his mouth in a silent scream as he started falling backward. Knight quickly jerked forward and grabbed Wizard's robes. A humongous green and slightly yellow eye appeared in the hole that the rock had made. For a split second the three of them looked at the green eye and the green eye looked back. Wizard whipped out his wand and opened fire at the eye. It disappeared.
Before they could catch their breath the door at the top of the stairs opened. The Princess came running down the stairs clutching a roll of parchment. Before Sorcerer could open his mouth she said, " This is the treaty of my land that those Demons and monsters want", in a breathlessly tone. "I knew you would come!" she squeaked suddenly making the three men jump. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed Sorcerer on the cheek. Knight cleared his throat loudly before saying quickly and business like," I think now is not the time for love affairs." Sorcerer glared at him. When the Princess continued to hug Sorcerer as though she had just found out that he was her father, Knight cleared his throat loudly once more. "Dude!" said Sorcerer turning away from the Princess and to Knight instead. " Clear your throat again and I'll rip it out!" Knight made a small disbelieving noise, like a cat daring a dog to come even closer.
Wizard looked questionly at Knight for a moment before saying rather nervously, "Come on lets get this over with before the love affairs. Wizard and Knight continued to look angrily at each other as Wizard took the scroll gently from Princess and opened it up. He stared at it for a moment before laying it flat on the floor. He looked up at Sorcerer. "Do the ritual so that all these monsters will go away," he said. BOOM! They all looked down the demolished stairs to see a herd of Demons flying deadly up the stairs toward them. "Hurry…" whispered Princess gripping Sorcerer. Knight went over to the top of the stairs and started to fight the Demons that had reached the top of the stairs. Sorcerer started talking in what sounded like nonsense. "Hurry!" yelled Knight as the Demons knocked him over. Light flashed suddenly from the scroll. The Demons stopped dazed as thought hit with invisible mallets. Light flashed again and they were all gone. "Well…" said Sorcerer getting back to his feet as thought nothing had happened. He extended his arm and Princess took it smiling. They started up the stairs. Wizard looked at Knight mouth slightly open. "What now?" They started down the demolished stairs. "You know I'm kind of hungry," said Wizard and Knight nodded eagerly.
